Theres so much happening around the world now that anything could happen, heres a quick list of the top of my head;
. Syria - anything could happen here. The UN just renewed a 30 day observation period, but even that is being optimistic. Either the current regiem
will flee for their lives, or they will be forced out (by death). How will this be done? No one knows. Will Russia be involved? Maybe, will NATO be
involved? Almost definatly, but what happens? Know on knows, but we will do by the end of the summer.
. Olympics - Personaly, i don't believe that anything will happen in London, it's too locked down. Maybe someone in security may try something, but
it wont be anything 'spectacular' like people seem to be hoping, they will be taken out ASAP. You can't even wear a pepsi t-shirt for gods sake. If
any attack happens in the olympics, it will be more than likely places such as Cardif, Glasgow, Coventry, Birmingham, etc etc. These places are wide
open for attacks, because all that Britian cares about is London. We know from the riots last year that the whole country can burn, but if London is
ok, then the country is ok.
. Elections - There are elections in many countries this year, and most notably Iran. Th Iranian president is a nutt case, the people of Iran know
this, it's their George Bush. He will want to do one act to disrupt the west before he leaves, to leave his mark so to speak. The same with the
. Iraq/Afgan - We still have 2 wars going on, 2 major wars. Anything can happen there.
. EU/Global economy - This is a no brianer, the whole economy is on the brink, and with China's growth starting to slow down, we are just one small
crash away from economical armagedon. Remember, we still have Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Spain and Italy using harsh austerity measures, which brings
me onto the next point.
. Social unrest - Strong austerity always runs paralel with social unrest. Far-right politics are becoming increasingly popular around europe, anger
towards immigration is on the increase, protests and riots are becoming so frequent that they arn't even being covered by BBC news much any more, and
what happened in Greece is about to happen to Spain, and then Italy, and then Portugal and Ireland. Once a good few countries locked in the same
economic union turn chaotic, the whole union could quite easily fall with it. Imagen what the EU will look like next year, it is impossible to know, a
lot can happen in a year.
So much could happen, but this is like every year, last year we had the Arab Spring, and that seemed to come from nowhere, and now we have all these
factors running along at the same time, it is impossible to say what will happen and when, but it is also quite pointless to make a thread stating
that you 'feel like something is going to happen', because it is obvious that at some point between now and December, that something will happen.
