They think he than wedged the door or propped it, went to his car and put on the armor and armed himself with his weapons. He than re-entered the exit door and started his shooting spree.

Very interesting thought you have given me here, Who said that it was this person, and if he changed and put on all of this equipment, how do they know it was him?
Vest, mask, possibly a helmet.
My other question is, was he actually wearing a kevlar / spectrashield vest or was he just wearing a chest rig?

You just took everything else people have bene saying in the handful of shooting threads and stated the most obvious of eyebrow raising details. Why did you feel the need to start a new thread just to reguritate information that is currently being discussed in depth in other threads?

So is the general concensus that he *was* a lone mad man? Completely in control of his own thoughts and actions?

And no involvemnent from any outer body?

I just throw it out there, as history has shown us a fair few lone mad gun men have been patsys...

Hinkley, Oswald, RFK shooter.. Etc etc.

Of course mad men do just exist live (excuse my spelling) b!eivik.

Just adding that he might have done it because his back was against the wall. Maybe life was getting to be too much for him. Maybe he needed a way out of his current life, a way to just quit. If he had to suffer the woes of society, then maybe everyone else in the area had to as well. I myself am in college debt up to the top of my head and will probably be pressed against a wall in a couple years and have to make difficult choices. I think if it came to becoming militant though, I'd rather put a bullet through my own brain than a group of innocent peoples' brains. (No, I do NOT want to commit suicide, I'm only stating a possible situation )

Now, as for different people saying different things: That's totally normal. It was such a hectic crisis situation and many were in shock and trying to get out of there (those that could) . In that highly hyped up state, any blanks in the memory are filled by things that didn't even happen. Memory is a funny thing. It is pieced together bit by bit by the brain when recovering one and the pieces don't always fit right/new pieces are placed in there to fill any gaps whether those pieces occured or not.

the point is HOW DOES A NORMAL 24 OLD MAN TURNS INTO A PSYCHOPATH IN ONE NIGHT??? AND THEN TURNS HIMSELF IN PEACEFULLY???

what get me is that he apperently did this in concert with scene in TDKR where a shoot out is happning very strange

Was he wearing all that body armor when he was arrested?
Surely if he was it can be tested to determine if it was exposed to the gas etc.
How much time would it take to put it all on?
They only found a hand gun in his car?
What happened to the AK?
Might he just have been waiting in the car for someone while another man dressed armor entered the theater and did the shooting?
He's in a trance and is told "Wait here", and so he does.

I have a question that I'm sure has been asked but i'll ask it anyway.
Aren't the emergency exits supposed to be wired to an alarm system?
Have any of the witnesses mentioned hearing an alarm go off before the shooting started?

That video, the witness said considerably shorter.

Apparently he was influenced by the Joker. And the Joker is a deranged, yet current character and this piece of scum is also intelligent.

Why did he let himself get arrested? Who knows?

Maybe he panicked about what he had done?
Maybe he is emulating the Joker who allowed himself to be arrested then blew up 2 buildings...

And his apartment WAS rigged to blow.

Whats scary is that a girl named Jessica who died in the shooting, narrowily escaped a smaller shooting only a month previously. One month later she was killed in another shooting. It's kind of scary, likfe Final Destination.

What is just, reaaaaally chilling though is her twitter account, @JessicaRedfield her last tweet is about the movie starting in 20 minutes.

So sad and I hope this guy gets ... I don't know. He deserves to face the worst pain and punishment imaginable. I'm very very much against torture and everything, but god this animal deserves to go to guantanimo for the entirety of his life.

It's starting to sound like the Martin Bryant case in Australia where it appears to be obvious who the perpetrator is until some of the eye witness reports start to conflict with the official story.

The consequences of this event led to the disarming of Australians.

i saw a documental once about witnesses at crime scenes
and the study showed that most witnesses to a crime especially the more violent ones
dont actually remember things clearly
infact the things they think happen can be so far from the truth that theres plenty of
specialist in this sort of field who say courts shouldnt allow eyewitness testimony to be used as proof

i saw this a long time ago

the test they did was a simple one with a real life dramatization and almost all of the witnesses to the event had some aspects of what happened change from the last

As someone in the so-called Mainstream Media here's why I am not ready to call this a "lone nut" nor a conspiracy yet:

1: First and foremost I am waiting to see what the claimed motivation for the shooting was. If there is a political agenda to it, that is something that surely must be taken into account. Follow who this benefits, if it is a tragedy, and there is no "winner" it's more evidence for the lone nut. If someone profits or gets political points for it, more evidence it's a conspiracy.

2: Cinemas in America are covered in CCTV cameras, if those are released and show him entering the theater, leaving and coming back in as claimed, more evidence for the nut. If they are not released, or show a second actor, more for conspiracy.

3: I want to know more about the guy and his crazy rigged apartment of death. If he had training, where did it come from? He obviously was nowhere near as through or skilled as other mass-shooters due to the the high number of injuries versus deaths. Did he have a history of mental illness that went unreported? The police are saying now that he got his supplies in the mail. Where are they from? Why didn't this raise any warning flags? In America right now the FBI is using horrible entrapment schemes to arrest "terrorists" who otherwise would have no means to carry out any plots. Why was this man either allowed to amass his materials or how did he go unnoticed?

These are all very important things that I must know and see before I can make up my mind on this event. Suffice to say though I will be filing Freedom Of Information requests if they are not answered within a year. The event is still fresh though, so I will give it the time it needs to run its course.

For now I am keeping an open mind, and my sympathies are immediately with the victims and their families. I hope those wounded recover quickly.
