.The Denver Post reports that Holmes lived in an apartment not far from the movie theatre. According to the paper, public records show that Holmes lived with two roommates from California.

I saw that picture in this article www.dailymail.co.uk... It seems that they are trying to assassinate his character even before examining all the evidence.

Well, I for one will take that chance. My 230 grain 45 hollow points pack a walllop and very little ricochet.

I've been following this story and thread since this morning and yes there certainly are some irregularitys.One has me wondering.The cops and FBI had all day to get into the guys apartment but can't because its rigged so impenetrable.Now I know the kid was studying for a PHD.BUT...The FBI has the most knowledgeable bomb diffusal experts in the world yet they are stymied by a 24y/o with no bomb making experience?This is hard to believe.

TThe Washington Post reported that a neuroscience faculty member at Colorado who said he taught Holmes said he immediately thought of Holmes when he heard that a student was accused of the shooting. The faculty member said Holmes was “very quiet, strangely quiet in class” and seemed “socially off.”

'A little strange,' 'very smart'

"I always thought that he was a little strange. I could never put my finger on it, but something told me to not get to close to him, female instincts I guess," the female student told NBC News. "I had tons of classes with him and lived across from him in the Honors dorms. He was a very smart guy though. He was a little bit of a weird guy, but we were honors students, so weird people were kind of common."

set off two devices of some kind before firing from an AR-15 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and at least one of two handguns recovered. A source said Holmes carried a magazine capable of holding more than 100 rounds

Why are their only a few folks dead?

I don't think it's so much the fact that they can't disarm it. I think it's more the fact of how elaborately he booby trapped the entry points. He could have booby traps on top of booby traps if he was that determined/paranoid. I wouldn't want to be the bomb tech that cuts the wrong wire and destroys all that evidence, would probably be the last bomb they would ever be called in to disarm.

They will probably get many different photographs from different angles and attempt to figure out the best course of action before just jumping right into it. I am sure they will also consult with many different experts as well.

I wouldn't worry about the movie. As they say, any publicity is good publicity and this certainly smells like a publicity stunt. Why did the guy calmly give himself up? Maybe because he's part of some strange global reality show and he's just playing the current role of the Joker.

I feel like one of the only people not shocked by this event... looking through my Facebook timeline I see my fellow Coloradoan's posting remembrance photos, changing their profile pictures, reacting very strongly to this... it's a sad situation, but when Anders Behring Breivik killed 80 people in Norway I didn't see any friends posting, or even acknowledge what happened in Norway. I understand that American's are usually only concerned with things they can sensationalize and tell others have affected them locally... but the media coverage has only made people act ridiculous. I tried to point out that many people died in Syria today to my friends, so they were aware of the world as a whole... nobody responded to my post. It concerns me. Regardless I've watched CNN all day covering this shooting and I do remember seeing them report about two roommates and was bewildered when the story changed to him living alone at the second press conference.

The Tennessee Plates turned out to be incorrect.

This man is a murder. Their is no need to even try and "assassinate" his character. He did that on his own.

BTW,

Only one person was judicially killed by the state of Colorado after the reintroduction of capital punishment.

He should be number 2.
