MB Sunnis with Assad's stockpiles of WMD's and Iran's Shia with their missiles and nuke programs. Would they turn those weapons on each other and wipe each other out? That day when both are armed exactly like that is very close at hand.

Israel wouldn't want to be in the middle of a MAD scenario manned by religious lunatics and neither does the West with their economies oil traffic caught in the middle.

Then why the West calling for the fall of Assad? His fall means his stockpiles go undefended to be targeted with even the Russians out of the equation to complain at that point as they would not have a legitimate sovereign State as an ally to rally for. Iran is still in the crosshairs over their nuke programs.

End goal IMO, take all sides deadly toys away.

Senior U.S. officials also confirmed to Fox News that the U.S. is in discussions with Israel about the possibility of Israel moving to destroy Syria's chemical weapons stockpiles -- though that possibility is just a matter of discussion and not an action plan at this point

So it looks like Assad has to fall in order to take out the stockpiles.

Seems like dejavu all over again. Didn't we have the same "good fix" on the WMD in Iraq? Will Americans fall for it again? I'm afraid the answer is probably. Scare tactics work wonders.
