It's certainly a lonely life being a conspiracy chick... But it's good to hear that your fella is into this stuff too, you're really lucky! Mine just wants to watch the football

Maybe you should do a little research on sports. Now and historically. Maybe it will hit him where he lives. There's a lot out there on the subject. This isn't the best quote, but it's one of many.

Nothing is so permeating in American culture as sports. We are exposed to competition based physical struggles for dominance (a.k.a. athletics) from the cradle to the grave. Is this phenomena a manifestation of normal evolutionary needs for hierarchy, alpha males, and social order, or a skillfully crafted campaign of control and diversion by the ruling elite (the true alpha humans)? Evidence seems to suggest that the secret government has, once again, found a mechanism that pits our own human nature against ourselves, and provides the ruling class with a means of population division, diversion, and complete dominance of a large sector of U.S. Citizens (who in turn oppress the remaining citizens unconvinced by the frivolities of sports) through a demented form of postmodern tribalism.

The sports conspiracy...

I'm not going to mention this to my fella though, he will probably have me locked up

Not at all. Of course, i can't answer for all women, but i think they love that as much as guys. It's true that i was raised into that since i was born, but i think it's as exciting for women than men to have a boyfriend that know about these things.

I am very interested in conspiracy theories and find the content on ATS fascinating. I understand the other women's comments that it can make socialising and conversation in general difficult when people are talking about mainstream BS, but I'm glad I'm aware and awake to it...

I think some of the other posters are right. I might talk about it if it was brought up, but I'd gauge the audience before being the one who brings it up. Something kind of light to test the waters. I wouldn't want to alienate anyone or myself by being "too weird" but I love it when theories get brought up and won't shy away from talking about them once they do.

Never ever talk to a lady about conspiracy theories if you wish to keep her around. Most people in general do not tolerate conspiracy theories. Unless you are confident she is open minded and has maybe a slight interest do not bring conspiracy theories to the table. Women are usually looking for stable, sane man. They do not want someone who is prone to fantasies. So unless you are James Bond like me you try it!
