Nazis planned to kill Churchill with exploding chocolate? Apparently so. Although I’d like to think that some talented individual out there could make up a fictional scenario as ridiculous as this, I highly doubt it. According to secret papers exchanged between MI5 officials during World War II, Hitler and his regime intended to end Sir Winston Chuchill’s life by appealing directly to his sweet tooth. That’s one way to do it.

but in all seriousness can you imagine just how history would have been changed if this actually happened and on a side note that is just a humiliating way to die being killed by exploding chololate why not just explode his ice cream too

Exploding Chocolate? Seems silly considering Churchhill was a drinker. You could have just given him some exlax chocolate and that would have probably done the job.

The info about the booby-trapped chocolate bars for a long time. I had a US Army Field Manual that dated from just after WWII that had an illustration of the German 'Peter's' chocolate bar, with a cutaway view of the canvas strap that initiated the explosive charge.
