Because I sure as hell just did. I know the RIMPAC exercises are going on, but I can't believe they would detonate ordinance so close to town. Sounded like they were only a few miles away. Definitely explosions.

When the explosions happen on open water there is nothing to slow the sound down. So it isn't unusual to hear them.
