Am I crazy or do these Photos have the same signature?

Could be;

Sodl (Sold incorrectly spelled) for 1.8

or Sr dl / 18 or 68 ( first part could be an abbreviation of Senior and the dl could be initials, the numbers could be year the photograph was taken)

I don't see the similarities in signature sorry... but I do see the pattern of year and name in the signature.

No. You're just crazy .... .. but we all knew that anyway going into this.

The bottom is definitely "68" .... thinking 1868, the year ... but the 'signature' remains a mystery, as does the individual in the 'portrait'

This is like a geo cache game. Interesting photo. He looks Amish to me. I'll do a little research on the Amish in that general area outside of Gettysburg around 1868. See if I can find anything....

I believe he looks Mormon and by going throw a database of male Mormon names. I am sure you will find your signature due to assume the likely hood of the artistry being done by another Mormon. here is link a quick look will convince you of the likely hood.

Quite impressive investigating. Sure does look like the same signature and same artwork. I have to say, it's identical. But, I'm no expert.

I'm curious if anyone was able to discover anything further or if the OP could post an update on this situation..

regretfully I haven't been able to find anything further on my end....but maybe lady luck shined her light on someone else?
