OK Michael, I would not normally reply to one of this threads but you obivously had nothing else to write so here goes:

I want to buy a shirt costing 97$ but I have no money. I go to my mother and I borrow 50$ and I go to my father and borrow 50$.
I go and buy the shirt with the 100$ and get 3$ change.

I go to my mother and give her 1$ back and I go to my father and give 1$ back. I still have 1$ for me.

So now I owe my mother 49$ and owe my father 49$ which adds up to 98$ but I only have 1$ left.

Where did the other dollar$ go???????
