We are
Floating through space
Our vision is
Constantly shifting
Examining the stars around us
Beneath us, before us
Tugging to-and-fro

If you objectively focus on
The passing hours, the test of
One million years
Then tomorrow surely will not come
But if you sleep on it
If you can just get a little rest

Accepting changes the state
Configures the stage
Alters the shape and stir
These visions do I detest
This sudden lure?

One historic day in Midgarth
My soul did ascend
To take on the presence of a child
Who had not once lived

An eradicating light
Threw itself into the darkness
Creating and destroying harmony
A long process in between
The Ether and the Earth

The ethereal hollow
Empty intestine tubes
Vibrations between
Vast vacuous spaces

Drifting in and out of
Conscious recollection
A sense of white water at my feet

Infinite expanding conscious sanctum
Time, in leaps and bounds
Passing its peak

Methane gathers outside my visor
Memories of a past life
Seeping through

She was beautiful
But his craft, their sleep and idle
Beguiled and engulfed
At the heel of his trident

A silent realignment
Rearranged through the mirrors
The unbridled line up

Oh, sweet sun splash dynasty

Was I deceiv'd, or did a sable cloud
Turn forth her silver lining?

Wow.... you really are an excellent poet! That is something my daughter does, poetry. I was never good at that particular art, my style of writing lends itself more toward novels, but I have always loved good poetry.

You should consider saving all such works of yours and selling them in book format, a good poet is something rather lacking in this century!

I've had a few people recommend that I do this, even my own Mother, and I always fall back on it as something that I could see myself doing, but since 2006 when I had the courage to show other people my stuff, I just never bothered and it became one of those things reverberating in the mind. I think that I will this time, though.

I am a bit of a difficult critic with myself. I was bad with words growing up, but then slowly I began to remember words that I would read, long and descriptive words and I would sense that I knew what they meant, before ever looking them up in the dictionary, and that's still what I do now. I write what doesn't even seem to make sense to me, but when I check the words later on they end up being perfect. Writing is a strange thing.

lol... are you my daughter? (jk as I do not really think so, but I have had this same conversation with her as you described having with your mother)

Do as I told her to do, just keep in notebooks all the things you write (or save them to a flashdrive) and when you have enough together (probably in a couple years depending on how much you write) then start sending copies of the manuscript to various publishers.

Also send submissions to writing magazines to get your name out in the meantime.
