He did release his bc, TWICE. Birthers won't accept it and claim it's a fake.

Most sensible people believe this is a non-issue, and it really is only the birthers who keep on bringing it up. It's pretty much a dead issue in mainstream society.

Obama and the whole liberal party tends to preach about "if you don't have something to hide, then you have nothing to worry about". Then why did they deny showing a birth certificate for over two-years? To me, that screams being guilty. I believe if you're going to take part of the system, during registration you'll need to provide all evidence that you have a legal right, first thing.

He also used a loophole from Hawaii and his grandmother said he was born in Kenya, his whole family ordeal makes no sense and he takes side to housing illegal immigrants (family from out of the country) and hiring them under our dollar.

I believe that it's more likely that Obama is a fraud than otherwise because on how guilty he made himself look. Does this mean that anyone that were born outside this country can just apply for presidency and not show their legal status to people? That's messed up.

And where do you get this idea? Are you saying that elected officials are not entitled to the same privacy protections our Constitution offers all citizens? And you got stars for that nonsense? Jeez! I hope I don't catch whatever you all have!

He does NOT HAVE TO SHOW HIS BC!

It is not a requirement.

And his grandmother said he was born in Hawaii. It was the translator of that interview who stated he was born in Kenya.

Here is a link to the letter sent by President Obama requesting a copy of his birth certificate; and the dept. of records response letter.

DENY IGNORANCE!

It might not be a requirement, but for someone who claims that he wanted to unite people, it is the right thing to do,
What harm could it possibly cause? Obama could make this happen without ever having to leave his golf cart.
Sure, there will be some who still think it is a fraud but so what? At least Obama could take the high road and claim that he bent over backwards for them for the sake of transparency.

The harm it causes is that it sets a precedent. He is the first black President and he is the first President made to jump through these hoops. If he gives in it gives the impression that it's okay to hold candidates who are a minority to different standards than white candidates. Why should he set this precedent when the vast majority of the population believe birtherism is outright crazy?

If he was born in HI, then there is no problem and there shouldn't even be a thread about it. But I think there is more to it than we are led to believe. As I have been told by a Vietnam vet who worked for the US govt at the highest level of classification (TS - SCI clearance): "We have fooled them before".

I will never forget his facial expression while he spoke those words.

I don't believe you are correct EvilSadam--

Common sense tells me that in order to be president you must be vetted and to be vetted means also that you must prove that you are eligible to hold office of the president. I don't know who does the vetting or who is on the committee that does the vetting but I am quite sure that the candidate must supply the vetting material to the committee. Maybe some one out there can help on this. I blame the vetting committee for all of this because they most certainly must have viewed all of Obama's records from childhood on up. They could step in and clear the matter in a heart beat if everything wasn't so secretive. That is what really bothers me the most. Why would a simple stupid thing like this become such an issue?

But he has already released what was claimed to be a photocopy of it, so I think we are past that bump in the road.
If we ever have another president, regardless of his race. who has this much controversy about his place of birth we should ask for his or her BC too. The race of the person is irrelevant.

Come on..not the friggin "race card"!
Mabe the reason he is being asked to "jump through hoops" as you say is because so many questions have not been answered adequately and a large portion of the country feels there is something to all this. As has been stated many times, the Clinton Campaign sure felt there was something to all this, and her husband was called by African Americans the original "first black president" Are you saying Hillary was racist?

Bringing race into all this is ludicrous! Sincere people can have doubts without being considered racist, which is what your post is implying.

Isn't it obvious that those citizens who are true patriots, and are informed non-sheeple, want this impostor removed from office immediately (at the very least), or prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and deported from our great land! Also, who in their right mind would re-elect a man who is not even eligible for the office and has deceived the entire nation and world? I wouldn't vote for him for town dogcatcher if he were the last man on earth! I think that explains the motivation of the so-called "birthers."

Are you kidding? If the citizenry does not have the legal right to ask for the necessary verifications of a candidate's qualifications for the PUBLIC office they are running for, why do the requirements even exist? It seems to me that if a person desires to hold PUBLIC office, they must forego some of their privacy. After all, they seek to be a PUBLIC servant. I think the key word here is, "PUBLIC."

Sorry Xcalibur, I don't buy into that race thing. Not when 54 percent white voters went for Obama. Can't buy into that being a reason to cover your life's records. Obama's records cover up started long before the this birth certificate became an issue so that was not because he is black. Also it wouldn't make sense to lose voters by not being transparent. I don't think it should be and an issue that most voters believe something is right or wrong. It should be whether it is true or false and if you cannot prove truth or a lie then what is left? The majority can be and have been wrong hundreds of times so majority doesn't solve this problem. Got to be deeper than what we actually know.

When you use that pathetic word 'sheeple' you are actually referring here to people on conspiracy sites that cannot accept there is actually no evidence for their opinion apart from youtube vids or a potentially corrupt and certainly racist sheriff trying to curry favour with his redneck and rasict friends to earn another term while spending taxpayer money on an 'investigation' (ha!!!!) he has no actual juristiction to follow.

Your words are without worth if you don't even wake up to the fact that sadly, it's you that is being duped.

Obama underwent the same vetting process as every other candidate. Why is this process suddenly not good enough for him but it's fine for every other President? Also, Arpaio, his posse, and any other person in the world have no right to access Obama's personal records. The only people allowed to access those files are Obama, his immediate family, or an LEO with a subpoena. Arapaio and his crew are none of these things. Arpaio should know this as a career law enforcement officer. However, he doesn't actually care about his constituency. He just cares about grandstanding ad distracting the public from his own legal troubles.

Isn't it the truth that matters here? If Obama is truly who he represents himself to be, then what is the problem? If a candidate wants to be a PUBLIC servant, they must sacrifice some of their privacy. If one wants to travel abroad, he must relinquish his proof of identification and citizenship. How can you imagine that to be the leader of the free world, the requirements are less restrictive? Where is your common sense? And where do you get your information?

Arpaio doesn't seem like a person who I'd think was an expert on much of anything.

The document in question is a reprint from a Microfiche -- so it's only as credible as the agency that sends it. All these examinations are kind of ridiculous. He's probably half as versed in electronic image manipulation as I am if I gave him twice as much credit.

Regardless of whether or not Obama was or wasn't born here -- nothing is going to happen based on this "legal status" so it's a wonder why anyone bothers. The whole point of "not foreign born" is so we aren't taken over again by foreign kings or robber barons -- and if someone can get indoctrinated while in diapers -- that's some amazing baby programming skilz right there!

I feel silly even commenting on this bozo closet racist from Arizona. I don't automatically think that everyone calling this into question is racist -- but Arpaio has proven this streak on many occasions.

Since when is denying a posse sworn in by a US Sheriff, with explicit orders to uncover information pertinent to all Americans, about a potential, CRITICAL fraudulent government document,

THE RIGHT THING TO DO?

:shk:

Since the flies have surfaced and CLAIM it is the right thing to do? BS! The right thing to do is to provide any and all information that will clear Obama of this mess. Until the questions stop. Until there is no more information that can be had.

But NO. It appears that this one is worse than the Berlin Wall. It might persist for generations, but eventually it will be torn down.

It is not the right thing to do, in this special case, and you damn well know it.

The US Congress is a bunch of spineless cowards. Arpaio and Zullo, along with the rest of the posse, have put lifetimes of reputation on the line to deliver us this news- in the face of outright conspiracy to stop them. The least the Congress could do is call congressional hearings on the matter, and request every last document there is from the HDH, as well as spend $40 million investigating it- like they did a blow job.

The sad fact of the matter is they would rather spend that much on Clinton over that, and yet here we have MOUNDS of evidence that this story needs serious congressional investigation, and what do we get?

NOTHING.

Put a lifetime of reputation on the line? You're joking, right? Arpaio's reputation is a racist thief, he couldn't possibly have a WORSE reputation at this point.

As far as being the right thing to do - it was absolutely correct. If you dont like the laws that deal with privacy, get them changed instead of whining. Those guys have no more of a right to see his BC than I do, which is none, and the law was followed in this case.

You may be absolutely right.

HOWEVER

He does have to follow the rules set forth in the constitution, and if the constitution requires that he prove his citizenship, then he must do what is required.

To date, he has not done this.

Nope.

When you apply for a license, does the whole world get to see your birth cert? Or just the people that need to see it?
