I agree. The most damaging thing here is the firing of the witness, the coverup of the trashcan arson, and the snide comment made by Carroll indicating she was too attractive to be a lesbian.

The sex is really the least concerning bit of this story, except that the sex was with an aid, and a direct report employee. That would get me fired in an instant, so the same should go for her. In fact, even the accusation of such a thing would get me fired from my supervisory position.

I think this will ruin her career. Between her comment, the accusation, and the multiple coverups, this is an extremely damning story for her career.

I get the feeling that the words "Hot Lesbian Sex" were only added to garner interest for the thread.

Believe me, I've fallen for it more than once.

The funny thing is this little mishap wouldn't even dent her political career if the politicians didn't make such a fuss over sexual stuff.

'Okay, I had a little moment of madness. Let's chuck it down to experience and carry on as normal'. - That's all she has to say, and it'll be forgotten. It would be totally useless for blackmail or mudslinging later on if she blatantly admits it happened.

If it did happen and she covers it up, that's a different matter entirely.

yes indeedy,
considering how many of these conservative moralizers both in religion and politics keep getting caught with their pants down, or doing truly bizarre stuff.

I only have one question....

Was she on her break while being snacked on?

All kidding aside...This is not about lesbian sex it is about SEX in the office which we all know is not appropriate.

Jokes aside, you're right.

Inappropriate behaviour is just that.

Inappropriate.

Public Servants carry a moral responsibility.

Nope, that was part of the original article, and many, many of the other articles. Almost every article I can find has something similar, although some are taking the more direct "woman who allegedly orally serviced the lt. governor."

This is now on FOX NEWS!

Link

She opened a campaign stop for Mitt Romney this weekend, and she was going to be a celebrity at the RNC! Will they still have her there? Governor Scott has been silent so far, he is apparently distancing himself.

I've just put those terms in Google, and I'm getting rather different results especially with the Image search.

not that i care

(Cole) walked into the Lt. Governors Jennifer Carroll's office and observed the Lt. Governor sitting at her desk with her foot up on the cadenza and her skirt hiked up. Beatrice Ramos was kneeling in front of Carroll, poised as if she (Ramos) was about to or had performed oral sex on the Lt. Governor.

did not see any actual cunnilingus
polygraphs are unreliable
especially when claimant has reasons to want to believe

the girl was obviously picking up paperclips, a stapler or something that had fallen on the ground

No doubt that's what really happened. Every woman in my office hikes their skirt up and thrusts their vaginal region in others faces when they drop their stapler....Pretty much common practice in FL, nothing to see here......

Can I work for you?

Pics of the "other" women are in another article linked in your original.

gawker.com...

And btw...I'm reporting this to go into HOAX...because you said "hot" lesbian sex.

But for all we know...this other lady may just practice gynecology as a hobby.

Hahahaha!

Reminds me of the saying, "When the lights are out, it ALL FEELS GOOD!"!

Ruh roh, the lights were on???

Which is worse?

Watching porn on a government computer or having sex on a government desk?

It's a deep social question.

@Nite

Well, we could always just ask Government folks to keep their sex lives out of the work place in all forms. It would seem that is a mighty tall order to ask of our Elected officials though. I'm not sure if that is a laugh or cry thing.

To Op

I can't believe she blatantly pointed to a stereo-type as a defense?? If it was a joke, thats not better. It's worse. Heck, with Republicans like this, the Dems can send their Political operatives on vacation. It'll be self inflicted and no more work is needed. (shakes head) I like her Bio too but Biden sure isn't the only one better seen than heard it appears. It seems to me the scandal itself is pretty serious in itself if there is anything to it, but that flippant response is a red flag to a mob of bulls. Ouch...... Doh!

If the sex is consensual between two peers during breaktime, then no problem. As long as it doesn't involve a subordinate relationship, or paid hours, then its fine and the porn is worse.

If the sex is anything other than above, then the sex is far worse.

Either one should get you terminated, but if you are elected official, who knows. It might make you more popular.

In all seriousness, it really is a huge deal! The homosexual allegations destroys a portion of her constituency, the flippant and rude comment afterwards destroys another portion, the human resource issues and pending lawsuit for retaliation and hostile work environment puts her in a bad position, the jealousy and attempted framing via arson by her aid is something entirely damning, and then the attempted coverup of that by using her position to influence and investigation? The Human Resource and Ethics violations are a mile long, even if the sex was just made up, but her response to the sex has destroyed her credibility and appeal with the women.

She's done. Career over. Now it is just a question of whether or not Rick Scott rides it out silently or takes immediate action, and how will they play it off at the Republican National Convention.

I think it looks like you're right in your take on this. If she hadn't dug the hole so deep by her own bad judgement since the news broke, I'd say we ought to let things play out to see what is true and what isn't. Fair is Fair and heck...even some others I'd like out deserve due process before the boot comes.

You're right on the other end too though and she's compounded this now by her very very bad judgement in response to make for a problem entirely independent from the original charges...and she gave more credit to them at the same time.

Personally. I think Rick Scott would show some real class here, if all we're assuming and saying here is as we're taking it to be, if he asked her to step down. Does Florida give him the power to make that a forceful shove if needed? Again, unless we're missing something and there is a whole different aspect, I'd say she's lost effectiveness and confidence as Lt Gov. to those below her....use that for the reason.
