Several high-placed generals bolted Bashar Assad’s inner circle Sunday, July 17, including such key figures as two security services chiefs who were operations commanders of the Alawite Shabiha militia plus the former head of Syria’s chemical and biological administration who took six other generals with him. They all fled to Turkey and defected. A fourth senior general from another security service was assassinated in Aleppo. This is reported exclusively by DEBKAfile’s military sources. The loss of the generals orchestrating the pro-Assad paramilitary Shabiha’s savage crackdown on the opposition has seriously weakened Assad’s protective circle of trusties and reduced his military and security options.

Syrian WMD locations:

Syrian President Bashar Assad will use chemical weapons against opposition forces and may have already deployed them, Nawaf Fares, the first Syrian ambassador to defect, told the BBC on Monday.
Fares, one of the most prominent syrian politician to defect since the uprising against Assad began, insisted that the president's days were numbered but warned he would be prepared "to eradicate the entire Syrian people" to remain in power.

Fares is here seen sworn in by Bashar in 2008:

Current status in Syria seems very much to look like Gaddafis last month in power during the Libyan uprising.
A rised level of Bashars EA (Electronic Army) agents are now flooding twitter and other social networks, desperatly trying to defend the actions of their increasingly desperate President.

"Mustafa Osso, an activist inside Syria, told The Associated Press, It seems there is a new strategy to bring the fighting into the centre of the capital," referring to the rebels who fight under the banner of the Free Syrian Army. "The capital used to be safe. This will trouble the regime."

and your own post some time ago:

Being an ex ICA (Intelligence Community analyst) I have to say that in cases of questionable core collections of data between the Clandestine Service Operations online, and Intelligence Community analysts, it is the responsibility of a Collection Management Officer (CMO) to manage the collection, evaluation and dissemination of NSA/DHS intelligence information . Managing the collection effort requires determining what US policymakers need to know and then communicating those requirements to an Operations Officer. To a CMO in the intel industry, a site like this works essentially like an electronic carnivorous flower trap. It attracts its victims by its promising and appetizing content, and once the fly is deep enough the trap closes. Most here are, as I mentioned in earlier replies, harmless posters looking for some nice and wild theories just to kill some time of daily boredom. But there are some really dangerous individuals, exchanging encoded info via apparently harmless posts about aliens, the usual gov conspiracy theories etc. The perpetrators are anything from mentally unstable youngsters/hackers like Ryan Cleary (suffers from asbergers syndrome) to muslim fundamentalists, all using various forums as info change instead of the usual email/cell exchange. This site is too valuable to be closed. Its vast membership serves a purpose to both NSA and DHS Clandestine Service as one of many great intel gathering sites on the world wide web.

A govt propagandist you are indeed .

More likely he writes the stuff with all the simple to follow maps for Debka and stuff and THEN he gives it to us. He doesn't like to work too hard.

Perhaps you need to think of some new material. May I suggest rayguns, the weapons not the silly old coot, and invisibility armor. Then you van show some nice desert scenes and convince the masses that 1000 cloaked soldiers lurk in plain but invisible sight. Please, something new!

There are some serious trolls here that keep pestering posters of good content just of mere spite. One of them consults an astrologer to determine the accuracy of his own imagined future another one seems to attack anyone just due to mere boredom. It is hard to find good readers amongst immature kids in their late teens. My posts are mainly directed to the old timers here. Mature and observant enough to read, think and judge for themselves what might be true or not.

Is this one better?

LONDON: Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will use chemical weapons against opposition forces and may have already deployed them, Nawaf Fares, the first Syrian ambassador to defect, told the BBC on Monday. Fares, the most prominent politician to defect since the uprising against Assad began, insisted that the president’s days were numbered but warned he would be prepared “to eradicate the entire Syrian people” to remain in power. When asked by the BBC’s Frank Gardner whether that would mean the use of chemical weapons, Fares said: “I am convinced that if Bashar al-Assad’s regime is further cornered by the people — he would use such weapons.” “There is information, unconfirmed information, that chemical weapons have been used in Homs,” the former ambassador to Iraq added. Syria has a large stock of chemical weapons and neighbouring countries are increasingly concerned about what will happen to them if the regime topples. Fares said this outcome was now “inevitable”.

If you like fairytales or sketchy information, go to the Disney website. Why try to influence or confuse people with information which is most likely incorrect or sketchy at least? Most of us know what is likely happening in Syria and I highly doubt Assad would be moving chemical weapons around to eradicate is own country. If anything, he would be moving them to eradicate Israel.
