This myth got some legs from the Virgin Trains commercial in the UK, where they used some footage from The Railway Children, and spliced it into a modern setting with electric trains and contrails in the sky. Some chemtrail believers take this as evidence that old movies are being edited. Other suggest it's some kind of subliminal brain washing.
