You want to paint it as your tail gate or roof? Go ahead. You want to stick one in your vehicle window? Go ahead. You want to wear it as a cape? Go ahead.
I dont know who this moron is , but if an American wants to show pride in their nation , by damn go ahead. Even if you look stupid.

Yup- Cause Americans are the only ones who kill people right?
You are as ignorant as they come.
I am not going to waste my time with you- you dont want to debate- you just want to talk #.
Sorry- find someone else for that.
Did I say that Americans were the only country to commit atrocities? No, your just putting words in my mouth.
BUT America has committed some of the most abhorrent atrocities in the last century, most notably the atomic attacks on Japan which killed over 200,000 civilians.
Yet you call me ignorant?
Yes, and if you were a history scholar, which you are obviously not, those 200K people died to save MILLIONS more that WOULD have died if America didn't step in and do the necessary.
MILLIONS SAVED for 200K. An unfortunate but necessary sacrifice.

I'm not sure why anyone would be in America if they were anti-american to the point of disliking the flag?
Wouldn't it be easier to blindfold these weirdos, or just pull their towel down over their head and tell them to stfu?
Siberia is always a good bet. I hear it's nice there.......well I'm sure it's nice at some point of the year!
I have a better idea! Why don't we rap an American flag around their head, and light it on fire! We'll appease their anti-american sentiment and give them something to complain about all at the same time.
I'm amazed that thse monkeys are allowed to stay. I've been told to get out of the country by right wingers for not agreeing with them on pollitics. How do these guys stack up?

thats how they justify Nuclear Bombs so they can sleep at night.
"We are going to kill 200k of your citizen whose life worth less than an Americans so we can instill fear in your country as well as show off to other countries our immense power, so we can save American lives"
I guess we should roll with that kinda of tactics,
Nuke a country, say we heard news they are about to attack us with a nuclear weapon Pre-emptive nuke...JUSTIFIED!

Flags have been fought for since the beginning of civilizations.
Historically, flags originate as military standards, used as field signs. The practice of flying flags indicating the country of origin outside of the context of warfare emerges with the maritime flag, introduced during the age of sail, in the early 17th century. It was only with the emergence of nationalist sentiment from the late 18th century that the desire was felt to display national flags also in civilian contexts,[1] notably the US flag, in origin adopted as a naval ensign in 1777, which after the American Revolution[year needed] began to be displayed as a generic symbol of the United States, and the French Tricolore which became a symbol of the Republic in the 1790s. The British Union Flag was designed as a naval ensign in the 17th century, but it was not identified as "national flag" of the United Kingdom prior to 1908.[2]
Most countries of Europe adopted a national flag in the course of the 19th and early 20th centuries

Have a Fire? Call Castro. Maybe he can help!
What? Put out fires with the Cuban flag?
Putting out fires has little to do with being American. You want to fly a bit of colored cloth that proves your loyalty to an ideal? Fine.
I don't care about that any more than I care what kind of meat you barbecue or beer you drink. You have every right to do that in your yard.
My idea of America says that you have to respect my right to not worship a bit of colored cloth.
Who originally invented the idea of a flag anyway?
No, it has nothing to do with being American. The point was sarcasm.
But why are you trying to mix Patriotism with Religion?
They are two completely different things.
I certainly do NOT worship the flag. I RESPECT the flag and what it stands for.

My responce as well as the responces of many, even 5 pages later, still apply. It goes beyond "the proper display". Actually read the posts and responces as the responders have, and perhaps you too will see more than just the "proper display". I think for the most part, people arent even looking at that as the issue.

That's simply not true. National flags, like nationalism itself, are a recent invention.
From the wiki:

I spent four years in the Army defending the United States, married a military retiree - 22 years of service, and my son has been deployed three times preparing for his 4th deployment. The United States FLAG is more than a symbol, and it is NOT shoved into peoples faces. That FLAG is one of the reasons we people can access sites like this one.
Phantomjack you do seem to understand.

Where are they going to leave to?
Any other country they might go to is at risk of being invaded by America and her Imperialist war mongering
*Sigh*
Another American blinded by patriotism for the "land of the free".
Do you even know how many people (innocent) have been killed by America in the past century? And yet your answer to me is "Go to bed kid your acting childish". WOW what a hypocrite.
I actually care for human life unlike you, and all you can come back with is a childish remark.
How sad,
CK
No, please quote the numbers...then cite where your numbers come from.
Since America has been fighting communism for what, 100 years now, and communism is directly responsible for the deaths of what, 100 Million, do you REALLY think that America has killed more than Communism has?
I wonder what would happen to the rest of the world if America took its toys and went home? How much money does America give Australia? What would you do without AMERICAN companies like Microsoft?
You can sit back and preach from your keyboard, just as I can. The difference is, I KNOW what America has brought to the table, and I know that WAR IS HELL. But if it were not for America, and its "thug" army, you, my Australian friend, would be speaking GERMAN right now if it were not for the might of the USA.
Take it or leave it.
You folks who are anti-american, and believe this crap about our war machine do not realize just how different the world would be today if it were not for the USA. Sorry, fact -- The USA is the world leader for a reason, and in this case, the end justifies the means.
Innocent people die in war. And Governments like Iraq cover up and embellish the number of dead to gain sympathy from the world. We did not kill 1 Million in Iraq, as much as you would like to believe.
Since the 1940s, America has been responsible for the deaths of over 10,431,000 million people, that doesn't even include POWs, the descendents of radiation posioning, or ww2 pre-nuke!!!
Like I said earlier America isn't the only country to have committed atrocities, but I laugh at the concept that America is the leader of the free world, it is far from free and has killed more people then helped.
America doesn't give Australia any money, never has and never will (it has no money anyway with its debt problems), in fact its the other way around Australia has been having to pay over 1.6 billion Australian dollars (worth more than US dollar) to pay for your wars in Afghanistan and Iraq PER YEAR!!!
Not only that but we had to pay for your wars in Vietnam and stretching all the way back to WW2.
Australia doesn't ask for anything, you kill our troops, take our money, and what do we get in return? Nothing.
Because America has nothing, even if we asked for weapons they would refuse us, they would rather give them to Israel who is genociding the Palestinian peoples, therefore America is genociding the Palestinian peoples.
Australia would be speaking German right now? Really?
Tell me if I'm wrong but I thought Germany was a small country in Europe on the other side of the world from Australia. Even if Germany managed to defeat Europe they had ZERO way of getting an army here, technology was not like it is today.
I think you are referring to the Japanese, but even then America refused to help us. It was actually the Australians who inflicted the first defeat on the Japanese army at Milne Bay, then Aussie diggers numbered at just 1500 defeated an army of 30,000 Japanese invading force. WE AUSSIES defeated the Japanese in the Battle for Australia, America played such a small part that historians often don't even include them.
The reason why the US i world number one, is because you bomb, destroy, invade, and threaten any other country that becomes too powerful. Even my country of Australia was branded an enemy of America during the Cold war? Nice way to treat your allies, huh>?
And I wouldn't piss off Aussies if I were you, since you don't have too many friends left these days.
I am well aware you didn't kill 1 million people in Iraq, the figure was actually 660,000 thousand innocent people, not including the children who have died from radiation...
