A very wise man once said, "Everything worth inventing has already been invented."

Well, I would contend this is not quite the case.

Maybe someone watching this will get inspired to do something better.

These are in use here in the US as well.. they've actually been around a while...

This has more information, I guess it's a Dutch invention

www.gizmag.com...

Henk van Kuijk, director of Dutch industrial company Vanku, evidently decided that squatting/kneeling and shoving the bricks into place on the ground was just a little too slow, so he invented the Tiger Stone paving machine. The road-wide device is fed loose bricks, and lays them out onto the road as it slowly moves along. A quick going-over with a tamper, and you’ve got an instant brick road.

Yep, you still have to position the bricks yourself as if you were laying them on your own but you can do it standing up and gravity holds them into position as they are slowly laid .. brilliantly simple idea.

That is quite inventive, i work in construction and never thought of something like that..

One way though to better the mousetrap though, some sort of sorting hopper to eliminate the need for the bricks to be hand loaded into the feeder.

Slick machine

I've done a good bit of roadwork and would never have thought of this either. The main reason I wanted to share it.

Maybe we could do one for Jamie Diamone. You know out of "gold bricks" ?

How about using yellow bricks for a girl named Dorothy ??
