As a man I have no problem with this. Men and women obviously have different capacities and interests at a base level. IQ is just one way of measuring intelligence. It is very possible that women are innately more capable when it comes to parts of that test. The interesting part will be to see who argues that this reflects a bias in our educational system or who calls for increased emphasis on educating young men. My guess is that the years worth of women underscoring men were explained away by these things followed by a call to action.

This has certainly been the case in the UK. Several years ago there was a drive to encourage more girls to take up mathematics and sciences, and this has proved highly successful, however it now seems that boys are under-performing in these subjects, and in general. Furthermore, while the effectiveness of mathematics and science teaching has been improved across all demographics, the knock-back effect has been on English and the Humanities, with most teenagers under-performing in these subjects.

There has to be a balance in the way students of all demographics are targeted, and in the methods of delivering education, otherwise, the pendulum will simply swing back and forth.
