Graphic Artists?

Hi, I've not been in this forum and hope I'm not intruding with something out of place.

We're having an "unofficial contest" as suggested by a mod as a "possibility" involving creating graphics and thought this may be a good place to find people who may be interested in participating.

If it pans out, perhaps we can make it a bimonthly event or something with a different theme each time.

I started a thread called "Avatar Creations" and it took off like wildfire! There are some excellent graphic artists over there. Some use their own creations, others manipulate images downloaded and others come up with great ideas to be tweaked by the more proficient.

Anyway, our unofficial contest started today and will end next Saturday. It has a theme of making an avatar for a hypothetical member (UFOlogist) who wants an avatar and described what he's looking for. We'll be voting with stars on submissions with a headline banner (use the word headline in the brackets then the slash to turn it off).

If this does pan out and looks like something people would be interested in, perhaps ATS will pick it up and award points to the winner or some kind of title.

If anyone is interested, please see the link in my signiture line. It explains in more detail. The more the merrier and I'd love to see this become a regular contest on ATS with rewards and community building. Please, join us and tell your friends!

The easiest way to post images is go to "tools" and upload the image from your computer. Then you click on the one you want, copy the [ pic] link and paste it into the post where you want it. Those little bracket things tell the message board what to do with things, but if you copy and paste from your uploads, it's already included in them and you don't have to remember what to use.

The youtube uses [ yvid] with only the numbers and letters after the equal sign and without the space between the [ and the y, they have to be immediately following one another.

The contest idea came from a mod who will remain nameless until he wants his name known

He seemed interested and said we may be able to offer ATS points to winners if it becomes an ongoing thing.

I'm doing a "dry run" to see how it works out and see if it's promising or not. It could be a great activity to get involved in and help build better communication in a "civil atmosphere" as well!!

I really hope it works out and lets us build more friendships like the Regent election did!!!!

It's a heck of a lot more fun than fighting with people all over the place and more constructive too

This would be a great forum to move it to if things work out!!

Thanks, I will figure it out....I was just looking through some images...and found some cool ones...actually I have a really neat collection of pictures....just sharing them on ATS I have yet to conquer....but I will...

LOL, while I was looking through some stuff I got side tracked by this video...and it absolutely cracked me up...it's vulgar...but very funny....oh man I have a "sick" sence of humor sometimes......yikes....
