Iceland Has Hired An Ex-Cop To Hunt Down The Bankers That Wrecked Its Economy

The gentleman's name is Ólafur Þór (Thor) Hauksson. He is an ex police lieutenant hired by the government of Iceland to investigate all who were involved in the banking scandals and financial collapse there.

Apparently he was hired several years ago, and so far has actually netted some convictions !!

He has a "posse" of 100 the story says !!

Interesting article ..........

If you were involved in Icelandic high finance in the runup to the recession, you might want to start watching your back.

That's because the government has appointed a white collar crime bounty hunter who wants to haul your behind in (alive, to be sure).

LeMonde reporter Charlotte Chabas has a profile of Ólafur Þór Hauksson, a former local police lieutenant whom the Iceland government appointed to track down individuals likely to have helped sink the country's banking sector during the credit crunch...... {story continues}

Good for them

I wonder how long it will be before we hear the words-
"Iceland have weapons of mass destruction, we must invade and install a Rothchild bank"

I hope he catches every single one of them bastards.

Perhaps they will all snitch on each other in hopes of some leniency, which may lead to more arrests and convictions. These crooked bankers are some of the top scum of the earth.

If Joe Arpaio was worth his salt, this is what he would be doing.

Amazing how so few can effect so many in a bad way and so much has to be done to make them pay so little.

Imagine the money and effort spent on catching common criminals. I just want equality.

I sense an excellent plot to a book here. Thor, the mighty Icelandic criminal chaser, grows weary watching the evil doers get away with, er, ...evil. He snaps. He assembles a team of specialists in their secret Nordic lair. They begin to locate said evil doers and 'bring justice to them.' Lead starts to fly and hilarity ensues.
