Well, they can dump the phone nets or even filter them in a way now that would block the modem tones of dial-ups, I suppose. Your first idea is a little more than I believe they can manage right now though. I'll keep faith in the Ham Radio nets that exist all over. I think it'll take more than even Obama can muster to ever muzzle those folks. I think some of those old guys were around to know Marconi as a personal friend.
