I just watched the video.

What struck me is the fact that I heard a certain word used a lot of times.

If I type that word out in this post, I will have the post removed....or worse.

So Obama would laud the hammer, not the carpenter.

Obama would praise the paint brush, not the artist.

Great socities and civilizations require a collective effort. Business owners and entrepreneurs are like chefs. While they might be the ones mixing everything together, if their vegetables are rotten or their blender is broken, then they can't make a succesful meal. The quality of the ingredients and tools are just as important as the person who combines everything.

In this case, the raw ingredients are the American people and the tools are this country's infastructure, which was created and is maintained by even more Americans. It's really about acknowledging and paying dues to the people who helped you to get where you are because in truth you can not do it on your own. Companies who don't bother to keep their office bathrooms clean are not going to retain the highest quality professionals, who are smart and help keep them successful. So remember that even the janitors play a part in making business owners successful.

If the company doesn't bother to keep it's restroom clean, we as Americans (at least for the time being) have the right to go to the company down the block that does. We don't need POTUS to tell us which company to buy from, yet he wants the government to help you decide that really you need to buy solar panels from Solyndra, not natural gas from your current energy provider.

Just because someone does not agree with you doesn't make them selfish or greedy, but that's the current left-wing tactic when participating in an argument. Since the facts don't support you, be sure to tear your competition down by calling them names.

I'm fairly certain POTUS (who I do not think is right to lead this country) mis-spoke here. He was trying to say you can't build your building without traveling over the road that the state or feds built. However what always troubles me about this man (and the 2nd in command who ALWAYS puts foot in mouth) is he never seems to want to make his argument more clear. It's like "yup I said it, what of it?" and that doesn't fly for me.

I started a business...all on my own. I did not walk on the backs of anyone who came before me.
It was my money that paid the rent on space to open my business. It was my money that paid for the materials for shelves for the stock I sold. It was my money that bought the stock for the shelves I built. It was my money that paid the electric bill and the phone bill. Money I earned working and paying taxes, that, by the way, paid for the roads, bridges and highways.

It was my blood, sweat and tears that went into building a business, without government help, without grants or loans from anyone.

The only thing that helped me create a business was the freedom we enjoy in this nation. The only backs that I may have stood on to build my business are the backs of our military that fought to ensure my freedom.

That is something Obama seems to want to take away from us. The freedom to suceed without interference from government.

Speaking of Joe the plumber....I could not believe what Obama said to him. Obama wanted to make sure others enjoyed sucess too.

I looked up the word sucess...my dictionary definition: to get rich.

Apparently, Obama wants all the do-nothing slouches to get rich off the backs of hard-working Americans.
