After months of teasing, Treyarch has finally revealed the villain of its upcoming first person shooter, Black Ops 2.

The game’s main villain is Raul Menendez, described as the “idolized Messiah of the 99%”—a Julian Assange-like character who’s old, experienced, and hell bent on starting a global insurrection against the status quo. He hands Sgt. Frank Woods, the protagonist of the first game, a necklace at the end of the trailer which symbolizes a connection between the two characters.

This is propaganda at its finest and a slap in the face to Occupy!

They have vilified Occupy and are conditioning the masses. Anybody who has read my threads knows that I’m no fan of the Occupy movement because of their violent and destructive actions time and again, so I think this portrayal is pretty funny. Obviously this game is fictional in nature. We all know Occupy doesn’t even have a ‘leader’, at least that's what we're lead to believe.

However, I find it interesting that this is coming not from the government or news media but from the entertainment industry.

Is the anti-Occupy sentiment spreading??

Yes…

And you get bonus points on this game if you shoot someone pooping on a cop car or buring a flag!

They're fools, for doing this. All this does is give Occupy greater legitimacy.

I've suspected for some time, however, that the purpose of some contemporary games is to brainwash youth. The intro to Gears of War 3 was a particularly egregious example.

ows has groups dedicated to internet freedoms,
they were active in orginizing against acta sopa and pipa,
the recording industry was shown to have written key areas of these bills

they are pissed of at OWS because we amoungs other groups showed that the recording industry was hijacking the internet and its laws to enable mass serveylence so the mpaa and riaa can copywrite troll the intire net.

this is 1% propaganda designed to indoctrinate the youth,
as punishment for taking down acta 3 years work for the recording groups

after reading the disinfo op from the mod your behaviour makes more sense seabag,
did you get some ideas from that list

Do some reading on the various forms and brain washing and the long term side effects (insanity). Ever wonder why brand new doctors called psyciatrists came out of the woodwork about the time the government disclosed the information on the long term side effects of brain washing?

The line between entertainment/advertising and brain washing is a thin one. Whether it was deliberate or just concidence, brain washing is a huge problem.

S & F

OK, you can't just drop a bomb like this without giving critical details such as

System requirements.

Details please.

I dunno, Games from my experience working in the field for a few years, they know whats popular and eye catching that's why there are often so many references to the "Illuminati, NWO and all other clandestine organizations" etc. Great for story lines and more importantly great for their "Bottom line" IMO.

this thred should be in skunk works,
the claim occupy has been violent time and time again is false,

By and large, Occupy has been a peaceful affair. Certainly pepper-spraying protesters while they sit calmly in a row like this is a gross abuse of power. It should have our collective blood boiling, whether or not we even agree with the protesters themselves. What was meant to be a protest against economic equality quickly morphs into a protest against the police state.

And make no mistake, the powers of the police in this country have grown out of hand. I’ve written at length on the militarization of the police, of SWAT team abuses, and the way that the war on terror and the war on drugs have both contributed to what is really just a war on individual liberty. Occupy Wall Street may need to grow up and evolve, but a far greater and more pressing issue facing this country is what to do about the security state we’ve erected about us at the local, state, and federal level.

So what is the new villain going to do: smoke some weed, not shower, ask for the government to take care of him, and then go home when mom & dad stop sending checks?

i think that this whole op smells like skunk works
misrepresenting a peaceful movement as violent is blatant and stinky

i play games but will be boycotting this one, as it encourages people to kill peaceful protestors,
although in a game.

REALLY?? I’M MAKING IT UP??

You say Occupy is peaceful and I say they're violent. Well, let’s see who is telling the truth.

Violence in Seattle

Violence in Washington, DC.

Violence in Oakland

Violence in New York

CASE CLOSED....

Now stop lying to people about the 'peaceful protests', sir. Clearly the protests are violent quite often. No wonder the makers of the video game portray them as the BAD GUYS.
