That is weird. How stupid does someone have to be for getting arrested and then charged 15 years for saying that? To think you could get away with it is even more stupid. All these cases seem too much like they persuade these people to say these things just to justify the programs themselves. Dangerous way to enforce the law. Its more criminal than justice, that's for sure.

The story is ridiculous & makes no sense:

"A complaint said Kodirov contacted an unidentified person trying to buy weapons in early July 2011, and that person became a confidential source for the government. Accompanied by the witness, Kodirov purchased a Sendra M115A1 automatic rifle from an undercover agent at a Birmingham-area motel and made a final threat against the president, authorities said. The agent also gave Kodirov four hand grenades with the powder removed."

He made a purchase from an undercover government agent?

What agency - FBI, BATF, Homeland Security, Maxwell Smart, Kaos?

The charges against Kodirov are false and lies.Al qaeda is a creation of USA.US propaganda should be treated as hoaxes and farcical.

If you express intent, they will give you a rope to hang yourself. They can't sit and watch every single person who talks stupid for the rest of their lives. Chances are if you're talking stupid like you want to kill someone, expect brand new friends in your life.

Everybody blows off steam once in a while. Put a gun in anyone's hand when they are in that position and they could go off on anyone, not just the President. The criminal act in this story was giving him a gun. Were it not for the actions of the government, he WOULD NOT have had a gun. He probably would have cooled off and gone on with his life and accomplished something good.

Let this story be a lesson to the cocky, hateful armchair dissenters that openly talk about harm towards the President/First Lady on ATS.

Threats were not acceptable when Clinton, Bush, etc were in office and they're not acceptable now!
