I usually make green beans with butter or bacon grease, salt and pepper, garlic and onion. Heat it up and eat.

But, then I found this recipe on Pinterest. These are the best green beans I have ever had. I couldn't get enough of them.

Green Bean Recipe

I doubled the butter and brown sugar when I made it.

Healthy? Of course not. Delicious? Absolutely.

Have any yummy veggie dishes?

Add beef bullion to your first recipe.

Since you added a link to bacon wrapped green beans...I will add my simple dish with eggs.

1 egg sunnyside up so you get all the yolk.
Take some steamed asparagus and add it on top of the yolk with a bit of pepper.

Dip the asparagus in the yolk.
MMMMMM

Our dishes would go well together.

There is something I never thought of! Definitely going to try this, or just beef broth in place of water.

S&F cause your recipe has bacon...I mean green beans!

Here? Boil then until kind'of tender. Chill. Add olive oil, seas salt and a bunch a garlic. Eat.

Yum...
(but bacon is better)!

Well I'm about to go pick some fresh Beans from the garden, and I just pulled some home made bacon from the freezer. We shall eat good tonight. Thanks for the post and the idea.

I love garlic with my green beens!! My husband thinks I'm crazy.

Veggie dishes.....

Tomato Pie
Prepare a pie crust (or you can use something like Pillsbury's crescent rolls to make the crust)
Bake the crust.
Slice some tomatoes
Make 'sauce' out of mayonnaise & lemon juice. (not too runny)
Layer the tomatoes, corn and sauce in the pie crust
Cover with shredded cheese. (Cheddar tastes good!)
Place in over long enough for the cheese to melt and brown a bit.

Zucchini & Dill
Cut zucchini into strips (almost like french fries)
Add butter to skillet and saute the zucchini enough to brown a bit
Add lots o' sour cream & dill to the skillet. You want the sour cream to be like a sauce and the amount of dill you use is up to you. (some also add hot pepper or onions)

Great cook out appetizer
Jalapeño Bacon Wraps
(I love these!!)
Cut jalapeños length wise and de-seed & de-vain.
Fill each with cream cheese
Wrap each with a piece of bacon
Place on grill until bacon is crispy
(you can make these with veggie bacon to make them vegetarian friendly)

Let me know how you like them! Can't get better than garden fresh green beans and homemade bacon!

I'm not a cooked tomato fan. Tomato sauce or raw is ok, but no chunks of cooked tomato can be present.

The jalapenos sound amazing though. We've done something similar with Hungarian wax peppers, but never wrapped bacon around them!

I completely understand about the cooked tomato part. My husband feels the same way about raw tomatos. He has tried tomato pie before and he said that the tomatos still had the same consistency as raw. So he's not a big fan of the recipe.

You really should try the jalapeño recipe. It's really good (as long as you like hot food!)

If I tell you I drooled is that too much info???

This sounds evil good... Just too good for real. I LOVE hot food, especially jalapenos! Now add my next favorite? (Sour cream or cheddar) - and wrap in BACON!

peace
