All Michelle has done, has been encouragement of eating healthy

Evidently, her food police tactics apply only to the rest of us, as her policy appears to be more "do as I say and not as I do".

Here are a few samples of her desserts, taken directly from the article.
■Napoleon crème brûlée
■A 15-layer carrot cake
■Bittersweet molten chocolate cake with cappuccino ice cream
■Blueberry kulfi and apple jalabi
■Strawberry shortcake
■A log-shaped, flourless chocolate cake with a rosemary ganache
■Warm ricotta beignets
■Blueberry sorbet – Note from the author: “She passed up the tiramisu.” Such willpower.
■A perfectly balanced warm chocolate bread pudding
■Banana cream pie
■Key lime pie, bread pudding and banana pineapple cake (shared)
■Birthday cake

Let’s look at some of the appetizers – she doesn’t seem to miss many of those – and main courses. Here are a few of her meals

■Soft-shell crab cooked tempura style with a ratatouille sauce; an “ethereal lobster burger” with scallop mousse and housemade chips
■Rack of lamb
■Fried green tomatoes, avocado and corn salsa and tomato relish (shared); fried oysters; a hanger steak with fried onion rings and succotash
■Butter poached lobster on butternut squash with a brown butter emulsion; venison au poivre and corn cake
■Watermelon salad with feta; fried oyster po’ boy; followed by samples of other items on the table: seafood crepe, shrimp and grits and buttermilk biscuits

www.whitehousedossier.com...

Looks like more of her style of living it up while she admonishes the rest of us to give up our pie so others can have more....literally. Oh, the article mentions wine and dirty martinis with each dinner.

Hey I'm wondering if I can find some of those fried oysters at my local health food store.

So what, I have nothing nice to say about the USA either.

I think this place is a cesspool owned by corrupt government officials and their money backers. I think this country is only a fraction of the great country it was even 15 years ago before bush stole the election.

I dont like Obama, i voted for him, and I dont want to vote for him again. But i think romney would be bush part 3.

But in regards to Micehele, I totally know where she is coming form regarding this corrupt country.

Oh really? What has she personally done to fight corruption? Her food police tactics are more than likely more of an attempt to force taxpayers to pay for breakfast and dinner school meals and to further regulate private industry under the guise of good nutrition than anything else.

Haha, "Food Police Tactics". Lol, I hope the people throwing that phrase around find the chance to learn what that means, cause I have no clue. I am pretty sure encouraging people to add more healthy food their diets is nothing like that though, lol.

Sounds like a disgruntled cop trying to gain attention for political ends. He's just mad because Romney is getting booed in republican states.

While I am no friend to any political party, the cop prolly saw something that he thought would a funny thing to use. You know how many times I've said I'd need to use a punt gun to shoot Andy Reid the Eagles football coach? A lot. The convo wasn't about shoothing him, but how heavy he is and saying you'd need a punt gun to shoot him is funny.

Wait, you all know what a punt gun is right?

If not, check out:

I'm not shooting Andy, saying I'd need a giant gun to shoot him because he's so fat.

I'm hoping that's all that was going on, a gag that was taken far too seriously.

It's a lot like the "Thought Police". It really is kind of an Orwellian concept for those who never read the book, "Nineteen Eighty Four", which is really just a decade and a half early in it's prediction.
To fully understand how the concept may be implemented on the local level, consider how one food police operative forced a school child to eat McDonald's Chicken mcNuggets in place of the mother's own provided home made lunch, declaring the McNuggets to be more nutritionally valued than the sandwich mom provided. It is Statism to be very clear.

Here is the story, and what's more is why were the lunchboxes being inspected? Were they worried a pre schooler was packing drugs or one of those dreaded plastic knives?

The girl’s turkey and cheese sandwich, banana, potato chips, and apple juice did not meet U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines, according to the interpretation of the person who was inspecting all lunch boxes in the More at Four classroom that day.

www.carolinajournal.com...

That is Nanny Statism if I ever saw it. Here is the dialogue:

Pre schooler: Why can't I eat the lunch my mom gave me?

State: We are just protecting you from yourself or your evil mother

Then again, maybe that was just Bush's fault

And which states are the ones booing him?
The only booing that Ive read about was at an NAACP convention that he spoke at, which is not surprising at all.

And yes, that fat cow has no business telling us what to eat, while she dines on cake and he stuffs his face with cheeseburgers.

Remember kids, if you wan't to kill the leader of a country and his family, you first have to make a big gang, give it a name, create a false falg to rally up support and then it's ok.

Oh please "food police"!

How many times has this actually occurred? So far the only references I can find to "food police" all link to the story you posted which took place in NC and was deemed a misunderstanding (what ever that means).

This story has been circulated to death throughout the conservative sphere, and no new information on "food police" has surfaced.

And how can you make the correlation between The department of Health and Human serveries and the Orwellian "thought police"? Did this child under go physical torture for the "infraction" or radical reeducation. No! She did not! So your comparison/metaphor is flawed.

Jesus Christ I thought we were supposed to deny ignorance here! Not entertain delusional conjecture based on isolated incidents.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________

Now regarding the topic at hand. A threat against the president or his family should be taken very seriously, especially if it is someone who is going to be escorting them. Hell, I think threats against the average citizen should be taken as seriously. People are killed all the time because the police ignore death threats or threats of bodily harm.

i just gotta ask ... based on what you said here ...

Now you are saying you think the police department is in on the scheme? That very quickly unravels.
are you suggesting that the "police scheming with government" or "government scheming with police" is a new concept or something ??

No, I'm 'suggesting' that the notion that the White House carefully co-ordinated a fake incident involving several mid and upper level cops, with no fallout, is a naive and poorly thought out 'conspiracy theory'/

That is were you are wrong. This was a county I once loved, but because of liberals and progressives, it has become a county I can't stand, and if we don't get back to the basics of what makes this county great, I want no part of it.

There are banana republics where a guy can have your version of the American Dream (no community responsibility whatsoever) just south of here. Mexico is good if you have enough cash, and so are some of the other Latin America countries. If you have the money, you can live like a king down there. Hell, on the west coast of mexico, there are entire cities that are populated by retired US ex-patriots living the Tea Party dream, with rent a cops to keep the brown skins in line.

If you can actually remember a time when this nation wasn't progressive, then you're probably as old and dusty as white dog sh*t anyway, so you should look into one of the these little hideaways. They love the white haired white folks. Good for steady money and low drama.

So it is conjecture to call it Statism when a representative of that State in the form of health and human services has mom's lunch replaced by corporate McNuggets because the State thinks it knows better about nutrition? Maybe it is you who should redefine what you think is normal. I guess that is what happens when society gets used to the outrageous interventions of the State.

Oh yes, I was explaining the relationship between the State's desire to control and regulate our thoughts and the State's desire to control what we eat. It is well spelled out in Jonah Goldberg's book, "Liberal Fascism", where he explains that the nanny state or fascism has it's roots in the Progressive movement and the Progressives' desire to control every aspect of our lives "for our own good".
Yes Michelle and Obama are both Statists extroardinaire but reserve for themselves the best of everything.

On topic, no wonder people hate her! But threats against her are inappropriate.

Isn't that the way everything is in our great federal government. Look at the health care bill, congress and friends are exempt. Every time they pass a law they always us the "except" clause for them selves.

This is part of why I am long past the point of having ANY respect for our rulers. They have made it impossible to make changes, so I have to rely on Karma to hope they all get what they deserve.

Why would he use his cellphone to show off a gun? Doesn't he already have a gun as authorized by law? This has a Oswald feel to it, next he will pose with the gun in his speedo like jared loughner supposedly did but there are no photos of it. Sounds like a loser, maybe he will be hired on at the tsa.

Y'know that's just truly sad and rather pitiful. Instead of just voting him out of office, and replacing him. You advocate shooting/murdering his wife?

...you don't see anything wrong with that? Really?

you do realize that he is trolling right? Trying to generate an emotional response to an otherwise logical situation?? Dont feed the trolls baby.
