Troll! I’ve lived here my entire life – I’m allowed to be ironic.

FTR, there is an effort to build a second bridge connecting Windsor and Detroit, to be built by Canada....and using NO Michigan tax dollars.

There is also an attempt, said to be with the backing of the owner of the existing bridge, to stop the building of the first bridge....they are trying to get a referendum on the Michigan ballot.

This event could be related to a bomb threat.

Police and U.S/Canada border officials said the threat was called in to the duty free store on the Canadian side of the border at about 1 p.m., suggesting that a bomb was somewhere in the tunnel.

There's also streets in downtown Detroit closed....near the City County Bldg, Jefferson at Woodward, and part of the Lodge Freeway.
Part of the Detroit River is also closed to traffic.

Then they will surely be able to retrace the footage at the time he have called

Why calling 911 to say you think there is a bomb in the tunnel

A) Stupid prank to ruin people day with big risk to be caught
especially calling from that particular store near the border
not clever at all

B) Something very fishy is going on
doesnt make sense .. smell like a possible false flag or cover op

C) someone wanted to alert the autorities after seeing a suspicious package
it is maybe just a little box that was thrown on the side
sometime people do throw things out or lose something on their way

Are there any ats'ers near the site now that can snap pics?

This is why I'd love a site like ustream to be integrated somehow. But I know the complications.

Detroit-Windsor tunnel could remain shut for evening rush hour.

Detroit— The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel could remain closed past 5 p.m. following an anonymous bomb threat that snarled traffic at one of the busiest border crossings, according to Canadian police and tunnel officials.

The tunnel was shut down about 12:30 p.m., blocking traffic from Detroit and Windsor, according to the Windsor Police Department. Drivers are urged to find alternate routes.

"The tunnel was temporarily closed due to a bomb threat being called in on the Canadian side," said Neal Belitsky, president and CEO of the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. "Local responders are on scene and investigating."

He anticipates the tunnel won't open until after 5 p.m.

Windsor police dusted a payphone at the Ontario tourism site near the tunnel and hauled away an Oldsmobile, according to CBC Windsor.

Another random idea:
The feds want to pull the jets from Selfridge....about 50 miles north of Detroit....as they think having them on the west side of the state is enough for international protection.

A friend suggested if this could be tagged as a terrorist event, it could be ammunition to keep the jets at Selfridge.....just throwing that into the mix
