This is a news article from 'infowars' which I generally do not believe every single one of their articles. However just a curious thought as per why the military is involved to handle this particular aspect of a problem. It cannot be all budget related with the state of Florida.

While a more or less moribund Posse Comitatus Act forbids the military from participating in state and local police functions, the use of the military in activity that is the responsibility of local government is another example of how the military is being systematically integrated into civilian operations.

As usual, let the thoughts and theories begin

info wars, figures not one bit of verifiable sources.

and as far as the Posse Comitatus Act theory you would have to say wich branch is operating , the navy marines,coast guard and national guard can all legally operate on u.s soil.
