Is a custom product (hand made) better than a stamped (machined) product?

Just wondering? I have some products rolling out soon, and some of my "investors" would rather see them mass produced for cheap, whereas I would rather custom make them with character with a slightly increased price. Thoughts?

Well since you do have investors they have some say so.
However, custom products are better in my opinion.
Investors don't care about that though.
It's all about the money.
I would start out with quality or else you'll give your brand a bad name.

Custom, That makes each one unique and more valuable, Profiteering is not as fun as making a truly unique product

Of course you have the final say, but if investors don't like the way things are going they can pull out their money.
And if you were eager to please them we wouldn't be having this conversation right now.

If you want to become a victim of greed. Go with China.

Actually, the best part is I can pay them out to the agreed upon ROI before it gets this far. So for all intents and purposes I do have the final say...

...but with that said, I just would like to get a community poll/feel to what people prefer. Some of the investors are older guys, and are probably thinking mass production, its funny because the younger investors actually prefer custom made... hmmm, generational difference?

Hell no! Eventhough there labor is cheaper, they will rip off your ideas all day long, tweak them, and import them while you hang in the wind...
