Believe me, I've tried that, and no matter how intelligently you lay the verbal smackdown, you will always have your post deleted while the idiot that ticked you off generally is left alone. Has happened to me time and again on this website. The trick is just to grow a thick skin and ignore the idiots(as hard as that may be sometimes).
