The Electoral College Map would change significantly if that truth was spoken

by Obama.

It's been about a month since I made this post...so I thought a little update was due.

Here is the RCP Electoral College Map as of right now.



You'll notice there have been some changes since the original post.

Obama has gone from 221 to 247...a net gain of 26 (MI and WI) electoral votes and puts him only 23 away from the 270 needed to win.

Romney has gone from 181 to 191...a net gain of 10 (MO) electoral votes and puts him 79 electoral votes away from 270.

It's really not looking good for Romney. There are only 100 electoral votes that are not counted as leaning toward Obmaa or Romney already...and Romney needs 79 of those 100 to win. Not impossible...but he has a very narrow path to be able to pull this off.

There is still a lot of time left...but things seem to keep moving in Obama's favor.

No one is dancing...just presenting facts.

USA Today haven't moved WI, MI, PA, and NM into the Obama column yet...that is their choice...and I guess it's your choice to find the best poll to back up your own beliefs.

RCP uses all polls and averages them...I use RCP for everything...you jump around to whatever poll currently favors the person you support.


But just for your own reference...here is the current RCP averages for the States USA Today hasn't move to Obama yet.

WI - Obama +5.4
MI - Obama +6.3
PA - Obama +7.0
NM - Obama +10.7

There is the truth. RCP uses ALL polls.

Most of the polls are shamelessly - stacked - with Democrats.

You're better off going to USA Today for a clear picture of where we are.

BTW, i see Romney taking North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Wisconsin

and Colorado.

That adds up to 285 Electoral Votes for President Mitt Romney.

He only need 270.

And your analysis of how the electoral votes will end up is certainly a valid prediction...it will be interesting to see how it all turns out.
