That's awesome, hearing different stories tie up together. Yes, Ishtar was a mortal woman, also called Semiramis.

The origional rulers of the earth, from whence all legends and myths spring, including the egyptian and babylonian royal families. Nimrod and Semiramis, and sun worship, and all the trappings. Semiramis or Ishtar is also the origional "madonna with child" as seen in the grotto.
