Damn dns
I had my laptop checked by the scanning sites, everything was fine. For the last 2 days, I've had trouble staying connected. Some sites work
sometimes, even this site has been giving me grief. I'm using a Telus air card at the moment because I moved and haven't got the sat service up yet
( too expensive right now). When the telus air card doesn't work, my phone still connects to everything - which is also telus service.
I'm seeing this message a little too much for my patience level:
"The server at www.(*snipped out*) can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed.
DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address.
This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or
a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server
or a firewall preventing Google Chrome from accessing the network."
It's not my computer, but I'm guessing technicians are having to chase around a fix for this mess.
If it's connected to the doomsday thingy, I don't know.....
Weird thing is, my phone connects just fine, but the laptop seems to be having troubles, but not all the time.
I've been doing most of my reading from my phone this week......
*sigh*
