that's cool, but ive noticed new members getting jumped on by skeptics, nay-Sayers, and trolls of all sorts soon as they get here, probably scaring them off to another site which makes the balance unequal after a certain amount of time, and no matter which way the balance goes, if it gets tipped too far, its going downhill, i hope one day balance is restored. and this isn't an attempt to defend a fellow atser, but an attempt to restore balance, i could give a dam if this guy fly's or not.

My first career in th military was as an Automatic Flight Controls System Specialist. AFSC 325X0. I spent years on the Warthog (RAF Bentwaters) and can actually answer some of your questions.

Or he's just trolling. I mean, why do an intro like that? If he just said "hey I'm in the USAF and I fly A10s," then it would make more sense...

Can anyone else smell schnitzel??

lmao. Hang on a second, and I'll get right on that for ya.

So instead of posting only a brief introduction, you just wanted to jump right in spouting out demands, telling others that they can only reply to you in a certain way?

Enjoy your stay. You're gonna make lots of new friends here.

Or just say I'm in the basement and i can hear my mum coming
slightly more believable with less arrogance and ego. Then again he does display flyboy traits ,so maybe we should give him time to check all the A10's technical data on wikipedia.

I'm confused with all you guys discrediting this new person to ATS. So would someone please explain it to me? The A-10 Thunderbolt II is the official name and the Warthog is its nickname, so because he used its official name, possibly for those that don't know its nickname, he is automatically lying?

Anyway Welcome to the um... family that is ATS A10Thnderbolt. BTW No once you start your account your name can not be changed unless you discard this one and start over.

Woah what a coincidence this is! I bought this flightsim software 3 weeks ago called A-10 Warthog by DCS. It's meant to be one of the most realistic sims out there and I really wanted to know what an A-10 pilot thought of this claim, since I've not been able to find any on the internet. That's assuming you've played it anyway! Sure is a lot more complicated than the Cessna 150's I've learnt in!

I know this is a bit off-topic, but this is too much of a coincidence to pass up

It's not the intro, just the style of writing. Look at the main players in the weaponry thread, they obviously know their stuff.

On top of that we haven't even had one reply back. Every intro thread I've posted in, you get a thanks or a reply at least. So yeah, I'm gonna go with BS...

How big are the teeth, and, will it be making an appearance, and, is Jesus riding it into this thread?.

Perhaps the guy meant thunderbolt and lightfoot? Anyway, best tank killer ever made, a true 'groundcrew' aircraft as well, there is an instance where an engine was blown apart, but the aircraft still got back to base safely, and the jockey sits in a Titanium 'bathtub' to keep his nuts safe.

Where are the stars? Didn't the introductions forums have stars? Anyway I was going to star you for your explanation and leave it at that but alas there are non to be given. He states that he would be back as such-n-such time to answer questions so I didn't expect any until then but I can understand your point clearly. They could have stuck around for a few at the very least. I just hate to see new members treated this way, who knows they may be the 1 in 100 that starts a thread like this that actually is telling the truth. They may not be familiar with how forums work and all(it's the benefit of the doubt thing I guess). Thanks for the reply though it is appreciated.

Hi A10Thnderbolt - hope to hear from u from time to time. I am not a pilot, but my brother is.

1. Without the u - thats the 1st give away.
2. Feel free to ask my anything: - My what, my A10? - spelling issues - 2nd give away.
3. Certain things can't be answered - 3rd give away but agreed - only God knows everything
4. If your question involves Nazi's or UFO's it won't be answered - 4th Give away - are you on the right website - this is Above Top Secret where UFO's is it - Timothy Good ring a bell?
5. Please restrict your questions to the technical aspects of the Air Frame and / or Syria - 5th give away - not a hope in hell my friend, this is my territory just as much as yours.

Ordinarily I remain diplomatic when conversing but you have insulted me by calling me nuts before we even met so....................the gloves are off - you fired the first volley!!

Ssssssshhhhhh - the Mod's are coming.

I guess it was the way the intro thread was done that raised a red flag. There was another the other day that even Crakuer commented on as being the same troll that starts similar threads then goes away. This reeked of that style.

And no, there aren't stars in introductions or Board and Business questions. I don't know why. But I'm like you, I'm all for welcoming new members, as long as their genuine. This just doesn't seem like it to me.

"When you fly do you play this song?"

I think Titanium by David Guetta would be more appropriate for the A-10 Warthog, dont you think? LoL LoL
