(Luckily, Hillary refused to sign the latest treaty against Obama's orders. That would have been the end of US.)

Which treaty is that? I'm not being sarcastic or anything, I would just genuinely like to read up on it. I find myself more interested in these treaties every day.

I beg to differ:

Thirty days after being published in the Federal Register, executive orders become law. While they do bypass the U.S. Congress and the standard legislative law making process, no part of an executive order may direct the agencies to conduct illegal or unconstitutional activities.

The President can make a law, by himself, in thirty days.

You've got to learn the difference between statutory law and administrative law.

Do that and maybe we'll start drilling down into the rest of the vortex of insanity from that point, but you need to get that basic understanding under your belt first. Sorry, that's just a must.

Hmmm, I wonder if the Japanese/American citizens sitting in the camps cared if it was administrative or statuary law that imprisioned them?

Once again, I really think you're a little out of your depth and may want to look into an adult government or civics course at your local community college.

That bit of legalese says, in English, "whatever this EO says we can do with your commo equipment, you can't sue us for it."

no, actually, it doesn't

this is text used in every single EO (see here - www.gsa.gov... - where it's also used in an E.O. authorizing federal employees to purchase bus passes through payroll deduction); it says the advisory committee the E.O. creates can only advise and not make legally-binding decisions

If you don't understand big words in English, just ask someone for help, don't assume they're trying to beguile you with their fancy book learnin' ...

Okay, tomorrow is here. What happened? Or do I have to wait until midnight for the big plot to be launched? I'm sitting waiting here with Harold Camping and we're both so excited.

Do we have time to grab a snack before the big FBI plot is launched?

If you think I suggested there would be no internet access you're mistaken. The EO just makes everything they did legal and a matter of national security. It ties up loose ends.

I don't know what you're talking about.

You said: "Well it's just in time for the FBI to do what ever they're going to do tomorrow on 7/9."

I'm trying to figure out what the FBI did today, on 7/9. I hope you can let us in on the big plot/conspiracy soon. I'm dying to know.

I see you may not have the mental capacity to answer the questions I posed. You're pay scale per post probably reflects that assumption.

There's no need to resort to insults; I'm just trying to figure out what event the FBI had planned to launch today (you said: "Well it's just in time for the FBI to do what ever they're going to do tomorrow on 7/9. Is this just a coincidence? ")? I'm really curious to know. Could you politely just tell us, please?

While I have respect for you as another member of ATS, there's something about your attitude that grates against my nature. Perhaps you are condescending, I've met them before, perhaps you have a chip on your shoulder from attending an ivy league college. I can't put my finger on it.

You are a newer member, promoting an advanced knowledge of law. Your credentials are not before us, nor do I need to ask for them.

Typically, a member will promote links to solidify their point on a subject matter, and avail it for peer review. Consistently, you have stated to attend basic courses at our local community colleges.

I ask, what if we can't afford it? What if our schedules won't allow it? What if, given the quality of membership on ATS, we read about such subjects and gain a primitive education by information that another member presents, one that supports their view, from a reputable site, that gives solid credence to their position?

I'm asking you to provide links to your statements here. As another ATS member, it's your duty to provide your position a sound background, and it will make you look good. Slinging insults is the modus operandi of a troll, but a true member of ATS will provide links to solid information for other members to read.

This isn't about degrading other people, and making yourself seem superior (even though you may be), it's about "denying ignorance", and helping others understand the nature of our reality.

You have a specialty in law, but you work far further in benefiting the membership by proving your comments with factual information. Your intelligence bleeds through your comments, but you need to temper it with compassion.

Not everyone on ATS is like you. We are all very unique. The common denominator is our quest for knowledge, and the reliance on others for information.

The OP stated the latest EO, so it's merely a topic of discussion. Let's keep it that, and not provoke haughty responses.

Well, read the source, and read about 2/3rds of the first page.
Have we been able to figure out why this is super duper extremely important yet, because the bill seems totally reasonable and a bit derp logic (wow, the government wants the ability to communicate in all times? those bastages!!!)

What is more curious is how a different repeat alarm thread sent me here..meaning the right wing loonie bin is churning out distortions the so called enlightened at ATS are putting forth as something real.

So ya..couple questions, which mix of drugs and/or brain damaging agents must I injest in order to see something scary here, and once I do that, what parts in specific are supposed to make me see triple talk to the double talk about how we are all now in socialist hell...

Or are the loonies just being loonies again...(let me guess...)

I for one, as an INFOSEC (Information Security) IT Professional am not worried one bit about what our Government thinks it can and can't do in regards to keeping the populace off the Internet.

Before we all had cable (as some of you older folk might remember) we used modems. Therefore, if ole' Uncle Sam thinks he will shut off our high speed internet via ISP's then I'll switch to the telecom networks using old school dial-up modems.

And if ole' Uncle Sam thinks he can shut off the telecom networks, then I'll switch to using IP over shortwave (or other radio). AMPRNet

If ole' Uncle Sam thinks he's going to spy on all my network traffic then I'll use TOR to communicate.

If ole' Uncle Sam thinks he's going to shut down my high speed internet AND monitor my communications then I'll set up BBS over SSL over dial up modems via telecom infrastructure or Packet Radio

Point being - Ole' Uncle Sam can point and shout and threaten and write executive orders - but aside from putting me in Jail they WILL NOT keep me from communicating freely and securely with the rest of the world.

This order was signed a few days before the servers were plugged into another set of servers and this operation was called Operation Ghost where we were all suppose to have a virus called DNSchanger. Interesting, how they call it Ghost as ghosts are for the most part invisible to the naked eye.

So many of you live in fantsyland when it comes to telecommunictions.
You think your entitled to as much band width as you want.
You don't think the government has had access to the industry for decades ?
You think the government needed an E.O. at all ?
You really think people can build a seperate system without government involvement ? On what ? With what ?
With what money ? With what manpower ?
EVERYTHING goes through the nations network the Feds have better access than the communications companys.
A communications worker from one company can not access anothers companys facility but the feds can go anywhere they want.
Touching any communications equipment or interfering with any transmission is a federal crime.

Never gonna happen unless theres a major disaster or world wide cataclysmic event in that case I can't see the internet being part of my must have at the time.

Although America could turn off its internet access it cant and never will be able to turn off the world not in a million years would every goverment agree to lose billions in tax revenue from internet transactions even for a day.

Greed will see the internet up and running unless the world cracks in 2 or most of the population is dead somehow.

The Internet belongs to the world.

when you can control All of the information.
You can do ANY thing you like.

even get americans to like you.
just keep telling them "Every one likes Obame"
the rest will follow like sheep.

they could exterminate all muslims
and steal the country.
yes they do that now.
but they can not kill them all in one go.
