With everything said. Facilitating a positive change starts within you. Everything is connected. For example with me, this past week I deleted my facebook account. Since then Ive had a constant feeling of being in a great mood. Despite having nasty customers at my job I explain to everyone all options they have. I do not let their negativity get to me & just help everyone in the best possible way I can. I distinguish people's personal agendas from what they actually came to do. Im starting to get all the help I need for situations & my days are going perfect. So by just spreading a good mood Ive witnessed I am actually helping others, & remember one day at a time.

That senator is a self described "democratic-socialist", and he is playing along exactly with what the elites want...for the government to be involved in EVERYTHING... To stick their noses in EVERYTHING, you know "for the good of all"...

This crisis was set up EXACTLY for this, for people to call for the government to regulate/stick their noses in EVERY business.

You think the people that really own these companies and are the global elites will lose?...

Occupy makes noise. Sometimes when people hear noise they wonder what is going on. At that point Occupy will explain. I fully support the occupy movement even if I think some of their actions are kind of laughable.

The point is to create debate. Most people in America are stupid, drugged or brain dead from watching reality TV. There are also those who are just too exhausted from working more hours than ever and those who don't/can't work live in a world of quiet desperation. Because the personal turmoil is so great most cannot take the time, nor have the energy to pay attention to the bigger picture. By making enough noise, creating enough disruption Occupy hopes to make people take notice. If people stop long enough to notice maybe they will stay long enough to pay attention to the message. Even if they just hear the message it may cause them to think. And maybe if they think, they will be moved to action; any action at this point is desirable.

Oh, the message: Our government has been bought by the highest bidders and "the People" have been sold down the river.

Comments from many living and wanting to leave the US are becoming more common these days. Quite sad that it is now a place people dont want to be.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. I know this is a conspiracy website and all but do some of you actually listen to yourselves? Some of you are pathetic.

How many events has America been through and recovered from? Too many to count. We will recover from this recession and be just fine. We are the most powerful country in the world and it's not even close. How much worse was the great depression? There were huge lines of people lining up for food. Is that happening today? NO! Today the great depression is a thing of the past and we are a stronger nation because of it.

Also, I can't believe how against cops people on here are. If someone breaks into your house at night and the cops save you, are they still the bad guys? I'm sure some of you will say yes but when the time comes I seriously doubt you won't accept their help.

I am currently trying to get into the police academy and it really makes me sad that this is how some people will think of me when I become a cop. All I want to do is protect and serve the people and yet some spew nothing but hate. Don't worry though I won't think twice about helping any of you in your time of need. A few bad apples have ruined the reputation of the brave men and women who protect you on a daily basis.

You know, all I really wanted in the world was to become a pathologist. I wanted to help people, to find out what was ailing them, to share knowledge and really get to the heart of things in ways that would concretely benefit people. I worked at three different hospitals during internship. What I found was that it was nothing like I thought it would be. Nothing was generous or sharing or caring about it.

I became a pastry chef instead. Meh...it still uses chemistry.

You may be under some illusions about what being a cop really is. Maybe what you're seeing written here and elsewhere is true too. Maybe it's based in a lot of fact. Maybe you could consider those things as truth too.

And fyi, the US isn't so great. Nope. Not at all. That too is an illusion. Your entire list of things there count as illusions from my POV.

I was reading a couple of threads and sites, regarding Monsanto, this morning and after reading this I have to ask the inevitable question - why has the national anthem NOT changed yet? It was written for a proud nation and a proud people. A people that overcame much and got independence on the 4th July. (OK not specifically written for them BUT adopted by them - before someone pioints this out LOL)

In 1931 it waqs declared that "The Star Spangled Banner" be the national anthem. It has not taken a lifetime for some to see it become just words from a poem!!

Now "just another statue" in another land that had a meaning!! So sad really. I can imagine ship loads of people wanting to start a new life the statue held such hope and coax many a jubilant cheer now watches over the water at what was once a promise of a better life!

I too grew up with stars in my eyes about one day becoming a cop. Then I noticed how an entire sheriffs dept looked the other way while one deputy used his lovely wife as a punching bag. It was no secret, this deputy had severe control and anger issues compounded by alcoholism. Now he is an administrator for the sheriffs dept.

Safe to say there is more than a few bad apples. Seems to me that bad apples find refuge working as police. How many of these creeps would be behind bars if unable to hide behind the thin blue line?

Not to make this all about cops, but they do play a big role.

The point is indoctrination. How long does it take for one to become disillusioned to the "helping" people copout? Its about controlling people, not lending a hand. It is a dehumanizing occupation. You spend enough time dealing with the dregs of society and it

I'm with you, this nation will recover eventually. We are not in dire straights, people can still post, read, write what they want. Even if it crap. And ye do belive in our system. Its not perfect but it beats the other guys! and Gasp i do trust the police and military. I love this country and would Never want to be anywhere else!
