And yet he's going to be reelected. It's absolutely amazing .. and a bit frightening. Then again .. those Maury, Springer, and Jersey Shore shows tell us the mental state of this country.
You're right. It is scary as hell, but he will be reelected. What the heck are we going to do?

The only thing scary here is that you have banished from your memories the fact that Maury and Springer actually hit the scene WHEN REAGAN WAS PRESIDENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You missed the entire point. Look at the people on those shows .. on Maury .. on Springer .. on Jersey Shore ... etc etc .... Then tell me that those people have even a smidgen of a clue as to what is good for this country and what isn't. They are idiots. And those people vote. No wonder the 'best' this country has to offer is Obama and Romney. It's SPOOKY how there are vast numbers of stupid Americans.

Well at least I am of those that elected him but this time around I am voting against Obama, so I can tell for sure that is a lot of people like me that are going to turn around and give the finder to Obama Change you can believe on.

His policies and bull crap cost my husband's Job with his military budget cuts to finance the monstrosity call Obamacare, After been in the work force for 30 + years as a tax payer and never Dependant on government assistance my husband is unemployed. But rest assure that somebody else will be benefiting from that lost but it will not be in the productive side of the tax bracket.

Obama has prove to be nothing but a joke, a monkey to the special interest as he is nothing but a corporate whore

He in my books is so far the worst of the presidents in this nation and in my 52 years of existance I have seen many.

His legacy will be a joke for generations to talk about.

If that is your point, I both missed it and agree with it.

It is so true. Sometimes, when I am feeling really dark, I almost agree with TPTB's desire to eliminate much of the population. Then I realize that idiocy is not a capital crime. I also remember that the government and the corporations are mainly responsible for the development of these "useful idiots". It is the entire purpose of our current public education system for example.

While true, have you asked yourself why they arose at that time? The election of Reagan was likely a shock to TPTB and they wanted to ensure that such a man was never again elected.

all one needs to do is to backdrop the 'Recovery' and supposed drops in Unemployment with the creation of over 4 .2 million jobs...to the tremendous increases in FoodStamps during the same period 2009-2012

if i recall correctly there are now more than 43.2 million people collecting Foodstamps
1-in-8 Americans

the increase in the USDA is now more than $144 billion annually with foodstamps accounting for over $84 billion
which was a 15% increase over the 2010-2011 budget

and the 2009-2010 budget was a 10% increase over the previous years budget

If the Øbama administration had already reversed the great recession and has created more than 4 million new jobs in 28 months, with unemploymen dropping to 8.2%...

then explain why in the last 30 months that USDA operating costs increased 25% and the number of food stamp recipients has swelled to 1-in-8 Americans... they ain't all illegal immigrants

his administration is lying just like the bankers... putting out fraudlent statistics and such.... creating a false reality & hoping things will turn out better in the long run is a fools mission...
the obama cadre are not fools they have an agenda in progress and yes even the SCOTUS caved in like they knew it would...

Excellent points all. Thanks for your reply. There is just so much evidence piling up showing how incompetent he is. How can even the sheeple miss it? It just does not compute.

So why do you paint the whole picture instead of just a part of it.

Tell me what Congress has done in the last two years to help this economy move forward. Tell me what businesses have done to improve the economy. These two aside, there are many more reasons as to why this economy isn't growing as fast as it could. It doesn't live and die with one person.

But as usual, you may continue your Blame it all on Obama thread.

You're playing the same game as Obama....blame, blame, blame. So his first two years while he had congress in his back pocket were.......what???????? Play time? It's time for him to put his big boy pants on.

I agree. You cannot respect a "man" who 3 1/2 years later still whines that it isn't his fault so blame the other guy. What happened to presidents who said "The Buck Stops Here"? We have a "buck passer in chief", not a commander in chief. He acts like a petulant six year old, in my opinion.

Obama is in a tough position. The economy is need of vast improvement and he's working with a congress which doesn't at all work with him for the betterment of the nation. Right now, we have more members of the house alligning themselves with Grover Norquist rather than the actual country. This is nowhere near a one sided problem.

For the record btw, Obama never pledged to step down or not run again if the economy didn't improve. He said he would be a one term president. Meaning the populace would decide one term is enough. He never stated anything about holding himself accountable and therefore honorably stepping aside.

Not buying it. He had two years where he had the white house and dems controlled both houses of congress. IF HE HAD A REAL PLAN to fix the economy, why didn't he do it then? Sorry, fail

"fail"? What are you, 9?

OK, I'll humor you. Let us say that Obama should not have dedicated the first portion of his term toward healthcare reform and the ACA.
What do you suggest that he should have done that would have radically altered the economy. By republican standards, the country should have been booming since Obama extended basically every republican position that's been in place. (conveniently forgotten of course)
What is your contribution to the discussion beyond finger pointing or WMD regurgitation? What would have saved the day?

i's a miracle deregulating the derivatives industry because, in his own words, the fed chairman, "didn't think they would be so greedy and take on so much risk" didn't cause a more serious global depression

it's a miracle we still can sit around and post all day

so how is mittens going to fix it ?

tax cuts for the rich (not interested in having a rich guy "trickle down" on my head txs )

deregulate (wait, what ?) corporations who donated to his campaign so they can rape the earth (and do it with current staff mind you !)

invade syria to keep us distracted

yay ! can't wait !

Why yes he is. But he asked for the people to elect him so he could fix it. It's not like he didn't know what he was getting into. I think on day four, he started blaming Bush and he hasn't stopped. At what point will he accept responsibility?

That's just it, Syrinx. Romney wil only differ from Obama in the regard that a different group of individuals will be reaping financial benefits as a result of his legislation, yet we have republicans equating this with "fixing the nation".
- It's as is everyone is selecting to remain ignorant to the truth because it's far easier and more entertaining to go with the traditional 'GO TEAM, GO!'

Obama definitely reminds us all a little too often that he inherited a mess. I hear where you're coming from. Most Americans don't need to be told that, unless they're just blindly partisan.
-That said though, he is not the type to accept full reposnsibility anyway. Even if he was fully responsible. He just doesn't strike me as the type to do that. Eve. If he was responsible and humbly ate crow as a result, how's that help the economy?
I'm only trying to find out what people are actually thinking. I see a lot of finger pointing, but no actual substance.

Being a communist, there is nothing he could have done to help. Communism/socialism is not the answer. Corporatism/fascism isn't working either. How about we try something radical and get the government out of the economy? How about we recognize that corporations are not "people" and thus not deserving of equal rights with real people? How about we stop equating money with speech? How about we end this farce of a two party system? Bammy cannot fix the economy. He cannot fathom an economy without governmental control. Bommy can't do it either. He thinks corporations are "gods" and that they have all the answers. Both use the government to pick "winners" and "losers". Both believe in the paradigm of "too big to fail". Neither support a truly free market.
All republics and democracies eventually fall and become dictatorships. If we do not soon change course, that is where our future lies.

I honestly believe that Obama ISNT going to get the same numbers, he did back in 2008 ? WHY? because many of those people that gave him a chance, especial those in the inner cities, have not had their lives change for the good. I would have to say, it has been worse. People are not going to continue to vote for something "they" don't believe in. JOBS is the priority. He can "claim" that he saved GM, but GM isn't hiring people, and the poor cant buy GM cars.......
