(UK) Where is the sun? + A challenge!

I'm also in the uk, and the lack of 'sun' has been bothering me for a few years.
Typically, when Children used to paint/draw a picture, it would contain: house/mum/dad/tree/garden/SUN.
They do not draw the sun now, because it's not there. There is just a lightness in the sky, not a sun shape.
This year the skies have mostly been covered in a haze of cloud and as soon as any blue appears, it gets covered up again. Chemtrails are everywhere. We have flooding and thunderstorms, but not the hot weather that used to preceed thunder. My Barometer reading as been on 'dry' for weeks now, no indication of the weather we have been having. I would have assumed that my Barometer was faulty, but I have two Barometers about a foot (30 cms?) away from each other, and they have the same reading. Birds used to fly to their nests when rain was coming, but they seem to be getting caught unawares these days, as if they can't tell any more. Bizarre.
