If anyone has any lingering concern that Venus didn't transit the sun the way it was supposed to (there's a thread about it in the 2012 forum), this should allay your fears. I tracked SDO starting in May and calculated its orbit for myself, and then used that data to generate a view of what it should have seen. The path of the transit was exactly right. I also showed what SDO would see if it could look back at earth for a day. It has quite a view up there (best viewed in 1080p):
