There are several reasons why long, thoughtful, interesting posts are ignored.
One, they are too long. A lot of people read only one liners or short responses and reply to them. Usualy with one liners too, "witty comments",
retarded replies etc, etc. These can be recognised by added
at the end of the sentence.
Two, there are people who read only the first post and reply to it, ignoring the rest. Typical for these posts is a lack of grammar, lack of sense,
lack of long sentences and an obligatory display of various smileys in the end, something like:
Three, the post is so good, that nobody can reply in the same manner. As somebody said, you can see this as a compliment.
