A C-130 MAFFS airtanker crashed Sunday afternoon in South Dakota while fighting a wildfire there. That makes three crashes this year alone. Conflicting reports are currently reporting three or four survivors. At least three personnel are listed as "missing." In my younger days, I flew airtankers for H&P out of Greybull, Wyoming. Missing means, unable to find significant portions of remains.
Tanker down

This has been confirmed by Northern Command.

Fire season has only just begun.

According to Foxnews a few minutes ago 3 people were pulled from the wreckage and taken to the hospital. I am assuming they are injured but alive since they didnt say anything about death (injuries are not known).

Hopefully they will be ok.

The MAFFS carry a crew of six.

My condolences to the families of the brave crew which died.
Perhaps should try and keep it a little bit positive though and say that they are just missing and not dead.
