Actually the deregulation and out-sourcing that led to this mess and the instability in the middle east occurred during Clinton's Presidency. Ever heard of the Glass Steagall Act? Ever heard of NAFTA? Ever heard of the Securities Modernization Act of 2000?

So, the individual mandate in Obamacare (passed by congress) is probably unconstitutional.

apparently no, it isn't unconstitutional at all - SCOTUS said so.

See - easy

The only people who actually try to impeach in this day and age are the neocons. It is one of their fallback strategies.

It aint gonna happen. Get over it.

I agree with you, he won't get impeached.

But, he will get unseated in the coming elections....good enough for me...

I dont know that this is true...and im not sure that any who replace him would do any better. This is a systemic issue, not an issue with one office.

He's already out...

It's 100% legal to impeach somebody who is no longer in office. The penalty is removal from office (which would be useless) and also, prohibition from any future Federal employment (which would not be).

In the late 1700's I believe a former president challenged some of his opponents by daring them to impeach him.

Actually, yes the mandate would be unconstitutional as a penalty which WAS the way it was presented to the SCOTUS. It is only constitutional as a tax.

Some fancy footwork went on there since it was declared NOT to be a tax by POTUS himself. The SCOTUS would never have been allowed to look at this case in the first place if it has been passed as a tax. Now suddenly it IS a tax. Incredible sleight of hand huh???

Yes, these were the New Democrats who believed in the power of free-market capitalism to make everybody happy vs the people who believe in the power of free-market capitalism to make their own people happy (and never mind the rest).

Now that this has been proven to be a problem, who has been in favor of keeping all the deregulation and who has been favor of changing things as a result of problems?

(hint, it's not bipartisan).

the SCOTUS were well aware of the "sleight of hand" - and declared is constitutional.

Get over it.

I'm a Ron Paul supporter. You will not convince me that one side or the other are less to blame.

It doesn't matter what you call it, it matters what it is.

What the SCOTUS has apparently also decided is that it would be firmly unconstitutional to make failure to buy health insurance a Federal crime. That is the usual meaning of "compel" and "mandate", legally. Obviously "penalty" (if it remains entirely financial) and "tax" is a negligible distinction.

I see your sleight of hand. The TAX is constitutional. Indeed it is. The largest tax increase in history and the most regressive tax in history is constitutional.

Now we will just have to see how popular it is.

No the sole reason it is constitutional is because congress has the right to levy a tax on the American citizens. That is the reason why.

Yes - it is only constitutional because it is constitutional.

You should be on SCOTUS!!

["I dont know that this is true...and im not sure that any who replace him would do any better. This is a systemic issue, not an issue with one office."]

Wow.... You hit the nail on the head!!!!

Why wont people figure that much out.

Some are quick to call others puppets and all that noise. Yet they argue that the POTUS crashed America and its economy.

Hahahahaha and cite crap released from the msm, via government sources.

FYI the government has Think Tank orginizations especially designed and operated to predict civilian response and emotional reaction to informatiom recieved from msm.

Ehhhhhh i could go on, but its neither here or there.

Just remember this.

The government does not need a president in order to function.

Its been doing so since kennedy.

Be manipulated

So y'all are still in blame bush mode? Seriously? How long is that gonna fly? I could point out the same crap from clinton, daddy bush, and on and on.

Seriously..... I am no bush fan, or clinton, or daddy bush. I can point out a lot of garbage from the past. That does not absolve me of my own actions. I guess that is the difference between me and the mindless liberal. And no, I am not a republican. At least not as far as our politics today goes. I would fit in with republicans a long ass time ago.

You must be looking at different polls and electoral maps than the rest of us. He has an easy path to victory. Even Obamacare has started rising in the polls. Of course a lot of this is just Romnety is a terrible candidate. All Romney really has is lots of big donor money but, he has no message to sell and spends most of his time trying to explain what side of an issue he is really on and then just leaving everyone confused. Granted he was the best of a bad lot but, the Republicans chose to throw this election to try and get 2016.

Do two wrongs make a right? They should all face a jury and be held to the law. But it is so much easier to point fingers and play to a certain side. You will always have someone tell you are right, and life in this facade is simple and safe.

Why not take sides out of it and just stick with the facts? They should all face a jury of there peers.

So, the individual mandate in Obamacare (passed by congress) is probably unconstitutional. Fine, but before you start impeachement proceedings against Obama there's one thing you must do first...

Prosecute Bush and Cheney for violating the first, second, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th and 12th ammendments of the constitution.

Plus his supreme court picks for constantly violating the constitution (including the mandate you're pissed about), and the dozens of laws the Bush admin blatantly violated.

Then there's treason for covering up Saudi Arabia's role (even if indirect) in financing and possibly executing 9-11.

After you finish with all that, then you can start attacking Obama. That is if you actually care about the constitution, which is highly unlikely since most of you applauded Bush for destroying it...

Stop the childish crap already!

The country is being torn apart and nobody can fix it because everybody has to be in a pissing match about how the other guy did the same thing....

"Oh, my guy is a socialistic tyrant who is trying to kill the country he is supposed to be leading BUT the other guy started it" Wah, Wah, Wah!

Obviously you like Obama and that's great, to each his own.

Truth is he is no better than the guy before him. He is abusing his rights and crapping on the Constitution just as much if not more than the last guy. The only difference is they are doing it in different area's.

Bush liked tearing apart other countries and Obama has set his sights on this country.
