www.youtube.com...

A truly tragic story with a father(train track operator) having to face a really tough decision between a train about full of people who don't appreciate life about to collide with a bridge or saving his son who he loves more than anything in the world.

Truly sad video, must watch the whole thing

What are your thoughts ATS what would you do if you were in his shoes?

If someone would embedded the video I'd really appreciate it

This has got to be one of the best videos I've ever seen on YouTube in a long time. Great thread OP. S&F for this and I don't give those out like other ppl. As for my choice.... I really can't say if i would do the same thing. It's hard to say without being in this position. Again great thread.

Yea I think most people would put family first before a group of strangers.

I would save my child too, if I had kids that is.

Not trying to be rude, just honest.

I think this video is stupid as hell.

IN A WORLD

ONE FATHER'S LOVE

SAVES A TRAIN OF CRACKHEADS

Arg. Anyone can think of horrible WHAT IF and WHAT IF and... scenarios. Forced heart-tug.

THAT SAID I would attempt to save everyone. That's what Spiderman would do.

What about you shogun?

At the end they make it seem like he made the right decision, but is there really a right decision in this situation?

Lol I don't think even spidey could pull this one off.
Didnt u see him trying to stop that train in spiderman 2 , he got lucky someone wasn't freefalling from some high location.

That guy isn't a father in my eyes.
The whole "sacrifice one to save many" is bull.
Being a father means putting your family first.

How was it that this particular train was full of specifically and only "Angry... Selfish... and Addicted" people? That's a bit over the top. Why couldn't it have been a typical cross-section of normal, ordinary people? Would that have made the decision any harder--or any easier?

Oh. I see. It's a religious thing. God gave his only-begotten for sinners--angry, selfish, and addicted sinners. Mm-hmm. OK.

Contrived. Pious. Corny. I think I'll stop there....

Being a Father I can see the pain in the decision. I would have pulled the lever and killed 2 rather than the many. As the Father, I would have had no knowledge of who was on the train, so what type of people on the train would be inconsequential.

So you would chose a group of strangers over your own child that just loves u so much and u feel the same way?

I would have to because what happened wasn't their fault. If you notice I said there would be 2 deaths that day who do you suppose would be the 2nd?

Although a part of me would die with my Son that day, the conductor that ran the red light would not see another.
