It was a Neanderthal sort of thing - he'd grab the critter by each hind leg and pull it apart like a wishbone, then hand over a haunch and say "here's yours. cook it or eat it raw, I don't care"

There wasn't any skin left on the part he handed me. Pulling it apart like that slipped the hide right off of the haunch, too. That still-attached foot was a little off putting, but he said you use that as a handle to hold it over the fire..

His cooking left a bit to be desired....

We've got one of the big Standard Poodles left, but she's pretty laid back. She was badly abused as a puppy, and when we got her on rescue, she's had nearly every bone in her body broken. Because of that, she absolutely hates men. They were amazed when she came right up and crawled into my lap, rather than trying to eat me alive. I guess I just ain't all that manly!

The ones you've got to watch are the little ones we have - they think they've got something to prove...
