Congrats, Nenothtu! You ran a wonderfully entertaining campaign and will be a great regent.

I had so much fun with this and really enjoyed getting to know some more people here. Everyone involved made it a wonderful experience to watch.

Beezer, this was an intriguing idea that took shape and grew into something that was an incredible experiment.

LOL...OK...I tried....I could never get algebra either.....after a certain point "logic" must be replaced with actually working through the "problems"........I finally passed in summer school with a C.....lol, and I was supposed to be "gifted"......it's all so silly.......

So here is the song I want to share....for folks not in America this is a song by a girl that won "American Idol"...yeah, I know, totally "stupid".....What I love about this video is that she can't find her "key"....and she looks to her guitar player and he plays a few chourds, and then she just rocks this song........♫

Honestly, this took off from nothing, and caught the staff by surprise. I think it caught all of us by surprise. I didn't expect myself to have the interest, but given the OP, I got captivated.

What if ATS developed a "title" for a member, and had yearly elections? Of course, this "experiment" was because it's an election year, but I see no reason not to expand upon the concept. Make it open to all membership, and have a set of "rules" to follow during the election process.

Another random thought would be to make the title "Exemplary Member" status. I'm bad with words, but the gist is to have a "title" for a member that shines through, and to "reward" them by letting them win the status. Think about it, members would wait to compete and it would increase the quality of posting. I have a big imagination, and I'm only tossing out ideas.

With a little more planning for the event, which was utterly unexpected this year, I think mod headaches could be somewhat more minimized. Codified ground rules, developed from what was learned this go around would be a start. We've a year to develop a procedure to smooth things out - it was a lot like getting elected sheriff in the wild wild west this time.

I won't be running again if it goes that way - I'm a firm believer in term limits. I'd be willing to help the mods ride herd on it. maybe sit on my throne and balefully glare a lot at the participants or something.
