You might want to take a look at some of these before being so certain that only Muslims are terrorists.

Mostly the biggest terrorists are the governments.

OP: S&F... Loved your post. God's will is that we LOVE all people regardless of their beliefs or how they dress.

Those who TRULY are God's children will walk in love.

God's not into religion. HE is into loving PEOPLE. Religion is HATE. God is LOVE.

@PuterMan
Your link fails to mention the fact that more people are killed by Islamists each YEAR than in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition COMBINED. Historians estimate that about 270 million people have been killed by the "religion of peace" since Islam came onto this earth.

I live in the United States, the midwest. (where everyone thinks we are all terrorists! )

And so indeed you are......

wait for it and don't jump to conclusions......because you strike terror into their hearts because the Government has conditioned people to think this way.

Give me a break. It couldn't POSSIBLY be because most muslims claim to be non violent..when in fact a lot of them are? No no,couldn't possibly be that.It has to be the government making things up.

I found the quote you posted above from her quite telling. It's their mentality.I hope I'm not the only one who sees right through that. She's being brainwashed into believing EVERY man will find her attractive. So therefore she must cover herself up to avoid being "hit on" as she put it.

The Koran implies that women should dress modestly. It doesn't say women should cover their hair. That is a cultural, not a religious thing.

If Muslim women wish to cover their hair and set themselves apart from Western cultural norms, that is their choice. It doesn't suggest much of an effort to integrate though.

Provided that their daughters, who grow up to be westernised, don't get pressured to cover their hair, I don't have a great problem with.

On the other hand

A survey conducted in France in May 2003 found that 77 percent of girls wearing the hijab said they did so because of physical threats from Islamist groups.

Reuters

In France, young girls wear the burqa because they have been physically threated by Islamist groups.

Not so fast.

The first two of your links are to anti-Islamic hate sites and the 'statistics' quoted in them are mostly fabrications or wild guesses by other haters of Islam. One of them actually uses David Livingstone (he of 'Dr. Livingstone, I presume) as a source!

Your last link, to Wikipedia, is okay, but it only speaks of the Inquisition. The claims are still absurd and your 'statistics' prove nothing.

So... fiddlesticks. As for your willingness to believe such arrant rubbish, it speaks volumes regarding your own attitudes.

Actually, David Livingstone is a first class primary source. His writings are based on first hand experience of what he writes, not a dusty academic writing 100 years later.

Thomas Sowell [Thomas Sowell, Race and Culture, BasicBooks, 1994, p. 188] estimates that 11 million slaves were shipped across the Atlantic and 14 million were sent to the Islamic nations of North Africa and the Middle East...

...The renowned missionary David Livingstone estimated that for every slave who reached a plantation, five others were killed in the initial raid or died of illness and privation on the forced march.

Link

But still, overall the following original sources are not good enough for you?

Thomas Sowell, Race and Culture, BasicBooks, 1994
David Livingstone, Woman’s Presbyterian Board of Missions, 1888
David B. Barrett, Todd M. Johnson, World Christian Trends AD 30-AD 2200,
William Carey Library, 2001
Koenard Elst, Negationism in India, Voice of India, New Delhi, 2002

You can buy those books on Amazon.

Using the data in the above sources, Jihad has killed about 270 Million people Link

By the way,

• The Wikipedia article states that between 3,000 and 5,000 were executed during the whole Spanish inquisition. Link

• In May 2012, Jihad attacks murdered 935 people and injured 2,235 in 185 attacks. Link

You do the maths.

I find it hypocritical what are called terrorist attacks when it is Muslims... by the standards set by the west it is a terrorist attack every time the US commits any action, and a terrorist attack anytime any westerner would be doing something in defense of his home or his family or his country. Muslims are just poorer.

Actually, Islam translates from Arabic not as 'peace' but as "peace, purity, submission and obedience"

In the religious sense, Islam means submission to the will of God and obedience to His law. Link

Funny how Muslims tell us Islam means peace but leave out the submission and obedience to Allah part.

Certainly not.

Sowell is a well-known right-wing commentator and a former columnist for World Jewish Review. Clearly a biased source.

Livingstone was a religious fanatic as well as being sick and half-blind. On his African journeys, he frequently came into confrontation with Arab slavers and had good reason to hate them. Some 'primary source'!

Konraad Elst is the editor of a right-wing Flemish nationalist journal, Teksten, that 'focuses on criticism of Islam'. (Wikipedia)

The other sources are evangelical Christian ones and therefore prone to sectarian bias. William Carey was a Baptist missionary.

For the third time: fiddlesticks. Fascist fiddlesticks, as a matter of fact.

Yes, absurd. That is why all you can manage by way of substantiation is an idiotic wall poster.

I have no love for Islam, as I have already made clear, nor for any other religion. But I know sectarian hatred and prejudice when I see them, and that is what I see in your post and olincasino's.

I think that many people dislike Muslims because some seem to think that their religion teaches that all Muslims should kill anyone who is not Muslim themselves. Overall, it just doesn't seem like a very tolerant religion. While other religions exhibited this in the past, such as Christianity, much of the violence has died down to the point of virtual non-existence. The same cannot be said of Islam...OR Judaism for that matter. So I think that is where much of the animosity comes from.

So tell us here, so everyone can be clear, what exactly does your religion teach its followers to do in regard to non-Muslims? Is Islam a religion of war, or a religion of peace? I have seen conflicting interpretations. I know that nutjobs can skew the message of any religion or doctrine, but usually the inherent meaning can be gleaned by logical reasoning. Anyway, I just wanted to offer up what I have personally witnessed, as well as put forth those questions. Thanks for the thread, and have a great day.

This is a bit over the top and extremely exaggerated, you make it seem like only Muslim men rape women in Australia. You may start your own thread and ask the questions you want answered about Christians in the middle east, but remember how Australia came to be and what happened to the natives.

I believe people should always stand for what they believe in no matter what anyone else says or thinks about them. Discrimination should stop right away, I'm fed up of it and I have been a victim all my life. I'm not even religious but I respect people who stand their ground.

well I am a muslim (no matter shia or sunni) too. but you are completely wrong we do not have different faiths. this is what anti_christic media want to show to seperate humanity and to wage war. we do have the same God and Jesus that we believe he is alive and will return. We do have a same faith but different manners.

Quran::
"""Say: We believe in God and (in) that which had been revealed to us, and (in) that which was revealed to abraham and Ismail and Ishaq and Yaqoub and the tribes, and (in) that which was given to Moses and Jesus, and (in) that which was given to the prophets from their Lord, we do not make any distinction between any of them, and to Him do we submit."""

So a sick and half-blind religious fanatic walked half way across Africa? Are you sure about that.

You do acknowledge that he witnessed Arabic slavers first hand. Instead of this making him a valuable primary source, this makes him a biased source according to you?

Are only people who haven't witnessed Arabic slavers allowed to write about it?

Those Christian organisations estimate that 9 million black African Christians have been killed by jihadists.

Who would be in a better position to estimate that number than Christians in Africa. But apparently that makes them a biased source according to you.

What would be an unbiased source?

Eskimos writing about how many black African Christians have been killed by jihadists?

I think he was suggesting that Muslim men make up a disportionate high number of rapists in Australia.

Of course, Australian government agencies do not record rape crimes on the basis of religion or ethinic origin, so it remains somewhat an open question.

Nonetheless, apparently every rape committed in the capital of Norway, Oslo, in the last 5 years has been committed by Muslims, which would suggest that at least Muslim immigrants to Norway make up a disportionate high number of rapists.

At least one member of Parliament, André Oktay Dahl of the Conservative Party, calls the situation “critical” and is brave enough to acknowledge that many of the perpetrators come from cultures “with a reprehensible attitude toward women.”
