Justice won't prosecute Holder for contempt

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Justice Department has declared that Attorney General Eric Holder's decision to withhold information about a bungled gun-tracking operation from Congress does not constitute a crime and he won't be prosecuted for contempt of Congress.

The Department of Justice cannot simply overrule a Congressional Committee. Whether they (meaning Holder's subordinate administration) refused to prosecute is irrelevant.

"Special Prosecutor" candidates are standing in line on this political show... it will make their career.

yes that's right, however he will be prosecuted in civil court.

I think in this case there is an abundance of conflict of interest.
I mean, of course the DOJ is not going to prosecute their boss.

He's above the law.. You know that. So, of course he won't get charged. At least he got his behind handed down to him.

How should I say this: I am shocked, shocked, that the DOJ won't prosecute itself.

Wouldn't Obama have to get rid of him somehow, to at least keep his job come november? Holder is guilty but he also is left "holding the bag" for the other higher ups who knew what was going on and who are equally as guilty. Holder is the fallguy is he not?

I'm really learning a lot about how the American system works.

I am not Republican and I agree with Congress finding the truth! Nice try!

Most importantly this is NOT the "American" system.... this is the system of the DUOPOLY - the Republican and Democratic Parties which would rather the country go down in flames than relinquish their vice-like grip on the teat of the American people.

The POTUS has executed executive privilege.If they want those docs they have to impeach the man.Holder is covered.
