I actually don't have a problem with most of them.

The only one I really am not so sure of is the "Cadillac plan" tax...

Do you work? If you do, in January 2013 your share of Medicare taxes just went from 1.45% to 2.35%. If you are self employed, it just went from 2.9% to 3.8%.

Yes...I read the entire list.

And unless you make over $200k or $250k(married)...then this doesn't effect you.

If you do make over that amount...then this is an increase that should have been done long ago.

Firstly all of those are public properties, making people by a product for a private company seems worse. Theoretically I have input on how those properties are managed via voting, etc.

Secondly, I wasn't really trying to make the point that this upset me. What I was saying is that while some people will benifit from this, others will pay more. So the idea that it will be cheaper for everyone is false.

Also, this shows the moral argument to be untrue. People that currently pay health care want the burden shifted off them and onto other people who don't use the service.

So taking your road example, it would be like a company owns a road or park, etc., and you use it all of the time, but they charge you a lot. So you want everyone to have to share the costs so its cheaper for you. So now people that never use the road/park have to pay so its cheaper for you, and even though the company that owns it allows them to use it, they have no say in how its run because its still privately owned.

I have come to agree with taxes. They are vital to making a society run and move in a forward direction.

Canada has one of the largest tax structures on earth. One of the higher CPI`s, a higher way of life and living and we pay for it out our rear ends, and you know what. I`d rather pay taxes and live in a country where people are happy, then pay little to no tax and live in a country where everyone hates everything.

My point is this, who cares if its the largest or highest tax increase in history. Your fraudulent, narcissistic, and overwhelmed country needs it big time to get out of any hole that they have dug for you and with you, They are, at bare minimum giving you something in return, something vital to many (health care plan), in place of just hiking up your tax system and demanding that you pay what they ask. As they do have the right. But if they did it that way it would spark outrage and violence between many.

It`s actually a pretty cleaver multilevel marketing system, kind of like ACN. There is a product placed behind ridiculous prices and increases, but its legal.

Here in Canada when taxes go up, they just go up. We don`t get anything for free. But you know what...generally, we are happy, we go to the hospital when we need, we don`t get a bill, we have to wait for certain health care benefits sometimes for months to get it for free, but eventually we do. Sure it could be better, but you know what, it`s far better than yours USA. Our people are not being sold mortgages they cannot afford, crashing a vital mortgage and housing industry, our dollar is doing well, there are more jobs created every day than in the US, our children get some of the best education in the world without being ripped off at 50k+ a year, our grocery stores are full of great products that are healthy, our road are paved (in most places except up north, where mother nature will not allow for it), our companies are not causing drought to bottle water at a rate of return of 1400%, And we are not at the forefront of every major war in our current history.

So suck it up and maybe follow by our leading example. It is however why our finance minister and Bank of Canada minister are lecturing YOUR country`s TOP EXECS on how to do things properly.
ps: When I say that we get it for free , we pay through our tax system, so that everyone across Canada contributes to our whole system on our paychecks. Meaning we dont have to come up with the money at the time of being seen for certain services rendered. Which is a fantastic system.

in the same vein of ignorance, do you realize my Local and State taxes already provide for the numerous FREE clinics (that provide a full range of medical services) throughout the county ??

Seems to me that the country generates enough monies to provide reasonable Heath care for all the people in the US as long as other expendable programs are changed, eliminated. This would pay for Heath care WITHOUT raising taxes. I've mentioned the 1.3 billion before (in other posts) we give to Egypt. Keep that money here and put it into Heath care. It's a start.

So let me get this straight... The righties believe Obama and his big Socialist Government have crammed a bill down their throats. What is your view of Romney's almost identical health care bill he forced on Massachusetts? Is Willard a Socialist? Don't you believe in smaller government with less intrusion? (besides women's bodies and what people do in their bedroom, you're okay with that intrusion.) Before you say "well this is Federal, should be left to the states." Isn't a state, such as Massachusetts, run by a state Government? Like a Governor for example. You must hate them too because they forced the same type of health care on their citizens, and they are the Government. Hypocrites. I know I don't speak for everyone, but I'm against Obamacare and heres my response to you.

Your right. Romney sucks. No, I will not be voting for him or Obama. Yes I'm for womens rights and other personal freedoms. See, my stance is consistant.

Now lets look at you. Seeing as how your looking for 4 more years of Obama, I'm assuming your for the expansion of the immoral wars, the attack on Libya, the assasination of American citizens without trial, the expansion of the Patriot act, the NDAA, the turning of a blind eye to bankers being corrupt and reward of them.

I'm also assuming then that because many of these stances are extensions of Bush's policies, you were a huge fan of his administration too.

I mean, you wouldn't want to come off as a hypocrite, right?
