The key point of the whole process is totally overlooked. A believable talking point argument was made that convinced people that hospitals are being
wiped out because the uninsured are driving up costs and because the uninsured are ruining everything for everyone this law is for the good of the
people who are being penalized by the uninsured. Health care is not for the good of the people, or good health care, but insurance is and by having
insurance, those who are currently being victimized by the uninsured will be back on top again. That was the selling point - there is NO truth to it,
but that was the selling point.
So, I can easily see the case being made that people who engage in all activities that might result in injury that would not otherwise happen, must
pay a tax. Skydivers who die ruin life for the rest of us and they don't need to dive, pay a tax and make things right for the rest of us.
Those who work in high injury jobs, and may find themselves disabled, must pay a tax because to have defective humans, who are there by their own
choice, is ruining it for the rest of us.
People who divorce ruin things for the rest of us.
The core of the obamacare is the "ruining it for the rest of us" and thankfully that argument can successfully be made on any and all activities
that can be sold in the same manner. Look for more of these to come. Keep in mind the DHS was created because terrorists are ruining it for the rest
of us and with them dead we can all be back on top again.
