My 80 year old Mom just said Obamacare and the Supremes just wrote my death sentence.

I honestly don't get all they negativity against it, but I live in a country where I wouldnt know what to do with out a socialist sytem of health care, its not perfect, but I have never sat there and wondered what would happen if something happened to me or my faimily and how I would pay for a medical bill.

I still pay for dental, eye, private room..etc, but if I drop from a heart attack or have a terminal disease I know I will be look after on the operational end of it, the prescription part is not covered, that is all extended health care(through you employer).

I once worked with an American on a project, he was new to the country and asked how much does it cost to have a child, I said if you have female about $50.00 if you have a male it costs about $150.00.

You have to pay to have him circumcised

So the conservative republicans are against "Obamacare" because it is too expensive but then want granny who is 98 years old to be able to bill the government for a heart transplant (around 100k) even though there is a 99% chance of death.

Palliative care is only for those that have a doctors "permission" you could say, saying that they only have so long left to live and that options by that point are limited.

It tells of all the times Obama himself said these things.

As all countries spiral further down into the one way rabbit hole of debt because of compound interest, everyone is finally coming to the realization that it's all because we all decided to turn our societal souls over to the banks. Any and all spending must be from funds collected ONLY, ONLY, ONLY from the pool of funds collected during previous years. Never from debt or deficit spending. The freedom upon the government to improve the services for its citizenry is taken away just as individual freedoms are.

Freedom to provide total care of every citizen is eliminated because of prior debt and it interest payments come due. The USA is in too deep and there is no way out but a world war and kill all the bankers and holders of our debt.

When you say she will be denied medical care she might need, what are you basing it on?

Her father lived to be 93 and died falling from a ladder while painting a house, her Aunts and Uncles all lived to near 100 in their homes with their minds intact, her mother died in her late 80's and was alert and self sufficient until her sudden death. Her chance of being a productive citizen until her late 90's is high.

Parents are regularly outliving their children in this day and age due to a variety of reasons one of them being poor health care. Other reasons are chemical additives and processed fast foods and lack of exercise. Your mother and her genes and how she takes care of herself will determine her lifespan. Not Barack Obama. Of all things to try and blame on this president. Why not accept personal responsibility rather than try to blame the President for everything wrong in your life?

But now Obama has guaranteed that she could die early

and perhaps need a nursing home because she will be denied more than palliative care.

Again no proof or evidence of this whatsoever. This is a first step toward a single payer system and a public option. It made great inroads toward taking opportunistic insurance executive middlemen out of the patient/doctor equation and in that way making health care more affordable. Your mom sounds like she might be starting to lose her ability to make rational judgements, and sound decisions, as happens in old age. You should try and ease her mind and comfort her rather than falling for and reiterating all the hyperbole and untrue scare tactics surrounding this humane and necessary bill.

Find the thread written by a Lawyer who read the entire bill. Read his analysis. That will answer your questions better than I can. I believe the thread is entitled something like "I read the bill", that is close enough for you to find it.

It is time to energize everyone who opposes the government giving some faceless, nameless bureaucrat with no medical knowledge, just a cost analysis sheet of if you are worth it or not, the power to decide if you get treatment or not.

I lived in Europe for many years. Socialized medicine is great if you have the cold or flu, but if you are old, infirm, or get a life threatening illness, forget it. You are more likely to die before you get your turn in line at treatment. You only get treatment in time if the bureaucrat thinks you are still of any value to society, otherwise you are placed on "wait lists" which are really "death watch lists".

WHAT CAN PEOPLE WHO OPPOSE OBAMACARE AND ALL IT REPRESENTS DO?:

Get out and vote! Drive people who believe as you do to the polls if they can't drive! Organize voting parties.
Make YouTube videos mocking what will happen as a result of Obamacare. Make them funny/poignant. Start and participate in challenging blogs stating your beliefs and encouraging like minded people to vote.

Take your iPhones to the polls, record and post on YouTube any and all instances of voter fraud you see before the video is confiscated.

Whatever you do, don't try and convince your liberal friends to your point of view. It won't work. The best tactic is to act humble and defeated around those who aren't going to change their minds.

Let hard core liberals think they have won. Tell them you give up and are staying home from voting. Give them every impression that Obama is a shoe in and sure to be re-elected. The more we act like that around liberals the more likely they will stay home on election day. They will talk to their friends and laugh at your defeatist attitude, yes, let them. We must now strive to make them feel superior and that they will win. That will ensure at least some of them will stay home, not vote, fat and secure they will win, until it is too late and the polls close.

It is only the like minded and those who have an open mind that you need to energize to get out and vote. We MUST secretly and quietly energize so many people that we have an army of voters who are silent but deadly.

And to clarify, I mean an army of people who go and vote and through their votes the Democratic party is decimated for what it has done to us.

The problem with our health insurance is that it's expensive. You're looking at anywhere from $250-$2000+ a month just for health insurance, and it all depends on where you live, how old you are, what kind of coverage you want, etc.

On top of the monthly fee there's a deductible anywhere from $500 - $2000+ that you have to pay if you actually need medical help before you're health insurance actually kicks in, and that deductible resets each year.

On top of that there can also be a life time maximum where after $X dollars they stop paying your medical bills forever.

Before this law was passed by the supreme court...was your mom expecting to live forever?

She is 80...not much longer to go....medical help and pills would only prolong the death.

I doubt Obamacare does anything to help her die faster...but keep spreading the propraganda.
