Well I just received an E-mail urging that we force the government into making the Obama care into a referendum in November elections to have us the voters decided what is in our best interest, I got the impression that this Supreme ruling is going to affect Obamas election chances and now they are trying to go around the bushes

We may hear more about the whole mess and for a referendum I am all for it after all isn't Americas government for the people and by the people?

Well now the truth will come out.

Don't be so hasty, this ruling may very well kill Obamas chances for re-elections.

you got it wrong, I am the low paid, but insured,, wife, who will end up oweing my boss $$$ to ensure as many of my uninsured sons and my uninsured hubby don't end up in jail!!!

I was going without food, my kids didn't have the clothes to go to school, we were drowning in bills just trying to live, and the fine gov't with all their wisdom thought we had plenty of money and didn't need any help for something that would have pemanantly disabled me if it wasn't taken care of!! I ain't counting on any gov't program, subsidy, or anything else help us out! as far as I am concerned, we got about a year to relocate ourselves to another country!

that same reason is why Mitt Romney already has campaign banners saying he will make it a thing of the past november 6th, the decision was made today, and they were perfectly aware and prepared for it to be constitutional.

People, this is only going to get worse, UNLESS WE DO SOMETHING.
S##T like this is why the first revolution was started.
And still, we sit idly by, talking on an electronic forum, accomplishing NOTHING.

I work my ass off 60+ hours a week doing HVAC work just to pay bills. I don't have a savings. I can't afford college to get out of this, though I have 49 credits with a 3.8 gpa, and can't get anymore grants or scholarships.

So, are we going to discuss this more? And accomplish nothing but a temporary feeling of self-achievement that we have pointed out the governments overstepping, or are we going to do something?

If a revolution is started, there are multiple outcomes.
I'll name two.

1. We succeed, and begin working to restore America to Freedom and Liberty.

2. We get crushed by the gov't and their military. BUT WHAT'S THAT? They have killed all of their citizens in efforts to stay in power, but they have no working force left, and are still defeated by that fact.

I'm waiting in Lexington, KY. I know the gov't is reading this. F**K you bro, whoever in the gov't reads this and gets pissed. F**K you.

You have ruined America for your own personal gain. You know your outcome, when you die, when your energy is released from this planet to go elsewhere, but karma still has hold, and you will be S**T on.

So revolution? Or more P***Y S**T?

maybe I am wrong, but it seems that he may have just assured a republican win for the upcoming elections....
this might even convince me to vote for the republicans, although I have some doubt if romney would do anything about it.. I mean, he was the the originator of the framework for obamacare, wasn't he?

but if that is it, that he's was mainly trying to boost romney's chances...
well...he made the decision on purely political motives. irregardless to the laws. if this was to be found to be true, I would say that he should be removed from the bench!!

Rush said he would move to Costa Rica if this passed. The irony is...Costa Rica has universal health care.

Good..My kidneys are beginning to fail.I have already been turned away from a 'specialist' once due to lack of insurance.

Now maybe I can get the treatments I need.

I worked for the DoD for many years, but I was forced to quit due to my health.I am on SSDI (I paid into my account)

But I am forced to go to a clinic since I have very little insurance, and they can not provide me with the proper care I need.

I dont care for the mumbo jumbo about socialism or what ever, all I know is that hopefully now I can go see someone who can provide me with the help I need, without paying some specialist $500 up front,JUST for a consultation.

This Obamacare for tax penalties is easily undone. You see folks since its a tax penalty, we just introduce and pass legislation to give a tax exemption that will cover 80% of Americans because they can't pay it. Then over time amend this bill and remove the tax penalty. Everything can be done over time by stripping it down with other laws. Very simple to do and will be done in the next 5 years.

Just strap yourselves down to a table for a couple of days, America. I know "Freedom"
is hard to kick, but if you drink diluted orange juice and tolerate the shakes, you will get through this.

Posting from Soviet Socialist Canada, I have to say the consternation south of the border over what started decades ago in Canada as "Medicare", is an eye opener.

why is healthcare so tied into employment anyways?

The dirty little secret is we do not need insurance other than Major Catastrophe type insurance, which would be very low premiums. You ever wonder why an aspirin in a hospital cost 20 bucks? It's because insurance companies set the price with no competition.

I took one kid to the Emergency room waited 5 hours, filled out paperwork for 45 minutes, and saw the doc for a few minutes where he glued the cut on my sons chin closed. The bill was 1000 dollars...
I took my other kid to a non-insurance taking clinic to have him checked for pink eye, I saw a nurse practitioner within 10 minutes, no paperwork other than health screening, and paid a 20 dollar bill.

Go to many counties where a private hospital room will cost about 100 bucks a day...I can go on, but the end awareness is that insurance companies regulated the cost here and they make it so no one without insurance can afford it. All that really seemed like it paved the way to get Obamacare in some form, so that even more control can be put into place. If the system was like much of the rest of the world we would not need Obamacare for that 1000 bill would be easily paid out of pocket for 10% or less of that amount.

It's all about profits and not healthcare, and Obamacare will make many richer by reducing the quality of healthcare that right not is demanded by us all to something much lower and cheaper that will increase their profit margins.

If I had zero reason to vote for Romney yesterday I got one big reason now....

the Federal govt (as fascit as it is) along with the oligarchs in the corporate-fascist blood-sucking vampire squid model ///will make this infringement on freedom a non-issue and the antagonists against the State 'fugitives' & 'civil 'terrorists'

i appreciate your bright-eyed look over the horizon...but the oppression started with the patriot acts & this chapter is just a progression in our internment status

It only appears insane in the context of the extreme far right rhetoric you have been steadily fed for the past three years. The world is not ending, your "freedoms" are intact and providing healthcare for sick people the way every other developed nation on the planet does is not the end of America.

NO.

Your "freedoms" are NOT intact. When they can FORCE you to do business with a private company, your freedom is no longer in existence.

The technical name for that is, I believe, "fascism". You hug it if you want - I'm not going to.

have you hugged your fascist today?

I already pay for it and so do you. We pay high ass premiums to pay for the uninsured. I for one, am sick of paying too much for my treatment just to cover someone else. Now they will have to cover their own ass and I can go back to just paying for me.

Please tell me how you were not forced into it before.

Uninsured citizens cost the industry billions and raise the health care costs for the rest of us.

This is how they want you to think when actually, Health care cost are up because health care companies lobby congress to pass bills in their favor. The reason health care and meds are so high is not because it cost so much to make but it is because they "can" rip you the public off, Thats why people go across the border to get meds. Same way with the oil companies, look at the price of gas right now, it was higher than this the past two years during the summer but, why is it going down right now? Because their is a presidential race going on and big oil wants their man to win so, dropping oil prices makes him look good. Grab a book on public policy and you'll be amazed at whats inside.

That's just the point, the people that have to "cover their own ass" can't afford it because you are too dumb to do anything with your money other than horde it and buy personal niceties. They don't have the money to pay "high ass premiums" because they can barely afford to put a roof over their heads.

You get your new swimming pool and someone else suffers.
